She and the Dems Party are going to do two things. 1) Carpet bomb the media with all of the 100s of stories about Trump's business deals that he's so proud of "negotiating." None of the candidates in the primary have had the will or the bankroll to do this, and they damned sure can't mention anything about Trump during a debate because he screams like a 5 year old who needs his *** beat and nobody in the audience or on TV can hear what's being said. The voting public will quickly come to regard him the same way people in his own city do...as scum. Further, they will highlight the fact that he simply is NOT a smart person, and he has never had an innovative or original thought that spawned an honest profit. He has literally treaded water on his inheritance, and has barely been able to outrun the S&P 500 in terms of his personal wealth. 2) Hillary will insist relentlessly that he present a plan. Any plan. On anything...which he cannot.
What a dark time in our political history we're in that a complete and utter assclown blowhard is a candidate for the presidency. I'm still in a little bit of shock, honestly.
Not on an exact point by point basis, but the same type of things were said about Obama in 2008. His lack of experience in anything at all of consequence, his dubious relationships with Rev. Wright and others over the previous 20 years, his lack of any definitive plan on anything, etc. would all cause people to back away from him. The problem was, there was nothing to back to other than a candidate who, for all of his valor, patriotism and political experience, looked like an old man next to Obama and who was just flat boring. The same could just as likely be true here. Rather than Trump, is the public going to rush to the polls to vote for a 90's retread who 60+ percent of the population in most polls regards as a compulsive liar and political opportunist? All polls, historically speaking, have shown that Hillary starts out with decent/OK favorables (although 40% of the population does and will continue to despise her and never vote for her), but the more they get to know her the more her unfavorables rise. The more you see her the less you like her. Trump on the other hand, has done the opposite. High unfavorables that are now reversing. It was said early on his ceiling would be around 25% tops, if that. He just got 45% of the vote in Nevada. Whether either can ever get 50% of the vote is seriously in question, but I suppose without a 3rd party candidate it is possible. I'm betting Trump has the higher upside.
Disclaimer: I am part of the 40% that despises Hillary. But I like Kasich, who isn't going to win the nomination, so I don't really have a dog in the fight yet. I am trying to be at least somewhat unbiased in my analysis.
