Trump is the worst debater left standing. He has the same 5 to 6 talking points and never provides anything of substance on where he stands. Every poll out there has Trump losing to Hillary by 2-10%. I don't see how Trump can make up that kind of deficit.

He has won almost every debate he has been in. Republicans are having record turnout in the primaries so far, and numbers are down for the democrats....most of that is from Trump.

And the polls I have seen show Trump winning in NC, FL, and Ohio. If he wins those, all he has to do is win Colorado and Nevada, or VA or PA.

Just because you are the loudest and talk the most doesn't mean you win the debate. Rubio was the clear cut winner last night. The numbers are definitely record highs and low for the dems based on recent elections. The thing is, most Dems don't don't really care which one they get, Bernie or Hillary. If they are up against Trump though you will see record turnout for Dems to keep him out of office.

Trump will win because people on both sides are fed up with politicians, and how they can't deliver on what they promise.
This guy gets it ^
Hillary is a terrible campaigner, he will easily beat her, by the the time we actually vote. He'll also get a lot more of the black vote than other Repubs.

If Trump could speak of his plans or policies with any level of detail then he would not appear to be such an intellectual lightweight. He uses his position as an outsider and formidable businessman to intimidate and reduce a debate to a street fight. I am not saying Trump is dumb but he is not articulate nor thoughtful about policy or future plans. If he is the Republican nominee, I will vote for him because Hillary is a crooked and narcissistic liberal that will destroy our Republic. At least Trump will do something right if he gets in!

the polls are the only thing that matter, and they show Trump winning. He is up by 20 in Florida over Rubio.

Democrats will not show up in record numbers to keep Trump out....they don't care that much. My guess is this will be the lowest dem turnout since 1996.

Agree to disagree. It definitely won't top Obama's first term as far as turnout, but I still think it will be very very high if it's against Trump. The Hispanic turnout will probably be an all time high.

I have always voted for the Republican nominee since I started voting over 20 years ago. If Trump is the nominee, this will be the first time I don't. I am sure there are others just like me that could always be counted on before but will be voting differently this election if he is on the ballot. His goofy comb over is reason enough to not vote for him, not to mention all of the other reasons.

Those are mostly just media rhetoric. Returns coming in thus far would say otherwise.

People were motivated in 08 because of the excitement of Obama and the bitterness towards Bush. Very few democrats are excited about Hillary, but there are a lot of Republicans, as well as Dems and Independents excited about Trump.

And Trump will? I don't get how people think a guy who has zero experience in politics can become the Prez of the USA and will suddenly know how to get anything done. He can't snap his fingers and make things happen. He will still have to work within the system that exists. The President isn't an Emperor, he can't just issue an edict.

I'll tell you what I'm worried about with a Trump Presidency. Foreign policy and him rubbing the wrong leader, the wrong way and boom we are in a Nuclear War.

I can't help but keep thinking a Trump Presidency is going to look like what happened in Back to the Future 2 when Biff was in charge.

*******I actually did not realize Biff Tannen's character was based on Trump! Holy freekin Canoli*****

Who would want to get in a nuclear war with us? No freaking way. Crash all our computers and turn off our electricity maybe but nobody wants our *** on a nuclear battlefield.

I am confused by your comments. You state that Trump doesn't speak of his plans in any detail, he turns debates into street fights through intimidation, he's not articulate about policy but you would vote for him because he will do something right? How do you come to that? Your comments and observations suggest otherwise.

And if a narcissistic scale exists I would put Trump at the very top.

that statement is nothing more than naive wishful thinking, and has absolutely no basis in fact other than his own words. Literally nobody who is an actual democrat, at this point, is going to vote for trump. When he gets to the general and starts trolling the **** out of all the far-rightwingers, things might change. but then we'll have to have a discussion about whether the Rs will vote for him.

here are his "favorability" numbers. hint: he is WAY underwater.

She backed off that women's crap when Trump brought up Bill's crap. What is Hillary going to say when Trump calls her a liar on the debate stage? He doesn't play by the rules.
She and the Dems Party are going to do two things. 1) Carpet bomb the media with all of the 100s of stories about Trump's business deals that he's so proud of "negotiating." None of the candidates in the primary have had the will or the bankroll to do this, and they damned sure can't mention anything about Trump during a debate because he screams like a 5 year old who needs his *** beat and nobody in the audience or on TV can hear what's being said. The voting public will quickly come to regard him the same way people in his own city do...as scum. Further, they will highlight the fact that he simply is NOT a smart person, and he has never had an innovative or original thought that spawned an honest profit. He has literally treaded water on his inheritance, and has barely been able to outrun the S&P 500 in terms of his personal wealth. 2) Hillary will insist relentlessly that he present a plan. Any plan. On anything...which he cannot.

What a dark time in our political history we're in that a complete and utter assclown blowhard is a candidate for the presidency. I'm still in a little bit of shock, honestly.

Per Mel Robbins (and I agree with her) these are the reasons Trump will win.
1. He's Real
2. He Doesn't Care What You Think
3. Many Americans Hate Washington
4. It's Early (null)
5. You Want To See Him Debate

Def not a Trump fan, but Obama won specifically because he had no plan for anything, at least not one he told anyone.
With an ignorant voting public, it's the way to win.

Until he is the nominee he may be behind her. Once he is the only republican choice he will beat Hillary. To many people that are for other candidates say they won't vote for him. When it's down to him or her, he wins.

The Obama portrayal is not accurate; he had a number of specifics he provided during his campaigns.

Your last line is sadly very accurate.

I don't know what you guys are drinking. Blue states will vote blue. Red states will vote red. And Clinton will carry every swing state because they are all moderate. Trump will not carry Ohio, Virginia, Florida, etc.

This is pretty much how it will go. Too many living inside a bubble, swing states are all that matter.
