This sounds like a strategy to turn my kid into a loser. No thanks.

Seriously man, I don't understand the thought processes here. Now that it's not a joke. I understand the thought of raising a man with self sufficiency etc but to actually encourage a bully trait of looking down on a lesser person for whatever reason.....not as good an athlete etc. seriously what are the traits that you admire in a leader?

My son is playing in a YMCA basketball league where they don't keep score and everyone gets to play, blah, blah, blah that my wife signed him up for. This was done against my wishes as I think these "leagues" have led to the pussification of America, and teenage/young adult males specifically. Fortunately, for my son, he missed the age cut-off by about a week, so he's probably the oldest kid in the league. He's definitely the most athletic and biggest by far.

Any who, last night they had a scrimmage, that my wife dragged me to, so we could show "support." As expected, my kid goes off. About halfway through the first half, I notice the kid that is guarding him starts telling my son, "good shot" after every 3 that my son buried in his face. I'm thinking to myself that the kid needs to kill that sportsmanship crap and play a little defense against my son. Being of my loins, my son did too. After a couple times, my kid starts mocking the other kid. Every time he says good shot, my kid imitates him with a "dunnhhh....good shot" and imitates the goofy way the kid ran.

At the half, I'm fully expecting to have to fight the other kid's dad or the other team's coach. Luckily neither happened, but the kid's mom comes down and complains to this jock-sniffing referee they've hired. This guy was such a goober. Although he did have a striped shirt, he was wearing shorts instead of a traditional ref's uniform of long pants. Just bush league. Anyway, I figure out what's going on and head down court-side to check it out. The ref tells me and our coach that my kid can't mock the other one or he's gonna give a double tech and kick him out of the game. I tell him I want to see where it says that in the rule book. About this time, the mom chimes in with the, "they're just kids" argument. To which I respond with a "lady, mind your own gd business." I was then asked to leave by the ref who, to my surprise, is a local youth minister.

Now that I've had a day to cool down and think about it, I had my banker place a "red flag" on the mom's credit report. I'm also thinking about filing a restraining order against her for harassing my kid. Anybody had any experiences with getting a restraining order? I'm just trying to look out for my son. TIA
Excellent practice run at a MB troll.

Weak post but interesting comments. I have been there and done that and your troll is weak. You should change your handle to John Wayne.

You should have.... your *** beat, for starting another of these stupid *** troll threads. Yet somehow these dummies are still responding like you are serious.

Your son ain't **** and neither of you could hit a 3 if you were the last dude at the bar with an unlimited tab. o_O
You sound like a "never was". You should stick to the Brownell threads.

You talk to my wife that way, and about my kid (who was being a GOOD sport - unlike your son AND you)...you won't open your mouth for a month.
That's not very pastor like of you, shouldn't you be turning the other cheek?

OP you should also see about putting the mom and kid on the no fly list.

Not sure what you don't understand. My son was teaching the kid a lesson about how the game should be played. If the kid doesn't like getting punked in front of everyone he should work on his craft.

As for your question about leaders, I would suggest you attend a Donald Trump rally.

Why not put your kid in an AAU league with more players of his quality is there a fear that your kid in fact might get punked? IJS

"Trolling -- to deliberately make an offensive or provocative post for the purpose of upsetting or soliciting an angry responses from others."

Seriously, this is the kind of post where a moderator should step in. OP is playing members, and the smug "let me get internet cred points" is offensive. Hopefully, Chris and others have seen this.

By the way, no kid in a no score league drains 3s.

Donald Trump basically says America is screwed up and I'm gonna fix it. That's wonderful. But he repeatedly leaves out the how

Actually you're wrong...but it would require an effort in reading. Besides, Cruz will eventually cruise.

I've watched....dude has no clue what the 14th amendment is. He'll say stuff over and over without actually fully explaining a position. It's so rediculous that there is a conspiracy theory that Bill Clinton asked him to run to make asses of everyone including himself

After you check in with your parole officer I'd make an appointment with a family counselor.
