Northwestern has zero offense, OSU may get a 40+ pt win, which may be enough to jump OU.

Its so painful to watch teams like Pitt and Northwestern. Their offense is just so terrible and their QB play is pathetic. Bama finally played a team with a good offense and almost got beat.

Herbstreit is saying Georgia should be in the playoff after they lost today. Good grief.

Well I've actually heard a few people say that. I can't imagine them putting a 2 loss team that didn't win a conf. championship in the playoff. They also played a pathetic nonconference schedule which is their own fault. I feel pretty good about our chances but you just never know what these people are thinking.

What else could we expect from a ESPiN commentator. If you hadnt went and released those damn committee rules he would have nothing to stand on. Its your fault damnit.

On the sincere flipside remember in the past how that network argued that if you couldnt win your conference ( BCS Era) that you had no place in the NC game. That quickly changed in 2011 as they openly campaigned for Bama over our little brother.

In 14 it was about the 13th data point except in 2016 and 17 it wasn’t? They are the biggest hypocrits in sports journalism and nowthey are campaigning for UGA even with 2 losses.

Hey but they have no bias towards the SEC or Ohio St and if you don’t believe that just ask them.

Very true, I knew they would campaign for Georgia if they lost to Bama and vice versa. They say its about the best 4 teams and thats why they would go with Georgia over OU or tosu then Herbie went on to ask how could you have OU as a top 4 with our defense.
Another thing I have been saying they would do, try and keep us out because of the D.
I think espin wants the playoffs to expand to more teams and one way to get the ball rolling in that direction is to push for georgia to get in over OU and tosu.

I agree to a point but I think some of it for him has to do with knowing after the Texas game the door was shut ( or should be) on his beloved Buckeyes. Notice he never addresses the bad D by his team.

I honestly believe since his Buckeyes are out he doesnt want OU in either. ESPN is in full campaign for its SEC comrades and its becoming sickening.

BTW if it happens its time for the other P5 conferences to take a stand and hit them where it hurts most. In the pockets of that network by refusing to send any teams to Bowl games this season.

Agree, I usually don't watch the idiots but wanted to see what they were saying after all the games were played today and right on cue they want 2 sec teams in. Never saw that coming!
With them its georgia didn't lose, they played the number one team and lost late in the game. No mention that maybe just maybe bama is not as good as they have pumped them up to be. Don't get me wrong bama is a good team and georgia should have won that game but didn't. They only have themselves to blame for that.
Kirby Smart was on the SVP show and hinted his team played well on both sides of the ball (a shot at OU) and that should count for them to get in. I don't see how georgia gets in but I tell you honestly it would not shock me if they do. Total BS.

Agreed and like you I normally stay away from that network unless OU is playing on it. With that being said hopefully the committee is smart enough to realize putting in a 2 loss non champ over a 1 loss conf champ could create problems for years to come and actually damage the game and meaning of CC.

I think the backlash all over the country minus SEC country would expose this whole system as being the fraud it is.

This makes zero sense. Herbstreit has been a huge OU supporter at ESPN for 15+ years. Now all of a sudden he is homering for Ohio State and getting on the SEC comrade bangwagon?? I don't agree with the guy saying that Georgia should be in, but I'm not gonna go off the deep end and start throwing the usual stereotypes on the guy. But hey...that's what OU fans do.:rolleyes:

Go watch his pimpin of Georgia and what he said about OU and the Big 12 then see what you think.
He has finally flipped full on sec homer.
How the hell do you say an 11-2 team that was destroyed by lsu and did not win their conference should be in the playoffs and even move up a spot to number 3 if you are not riding the sec hobby horse? The guy has lost his mind and he actually said he would lose his mind if georgia was left out after the game they had with bama.

In the past few weeks there have even been plenty of OU fans on this board that have said OU doesn't belong in the playoffs. So sorry, but I'm not gonna jump on the Herbstreit hater party just because I don't agree with him on this occasion.
