BTW, I just heard that Vince Gill is going to tour with Eagles for a while to fill Glenn Frey's spot. I like Gill a lot, but good luck with that. Reminds me of when Glen Campbell was a Beach Boy.

'Country' these days is close to Rock. My kid formed & leads 3 other guys that are talented and Rocking top 40 C & W all over Iowa and making hefty folding money, weekly
And many of the Eagles tunes have a country flavor to start with.

Croce was one of my favorites. He had that great sound that was easy to listen to. Freaking airplanes took too many greats way too early.

One more follow-up thought. My oldest stepson was good friends with Vince Gill's older brother. They were always aggravated that Vince tried to cut in on their activities, or tag along after them. Fast forward a few years, and they were both happy to have him around, but by then, he was too busy making Big Buck$! That Karma is a Beach!
