It is my fervent wish that everyone enjoys a safe holiday with family and friends, in civility and all manner of goodwill. Accepting each one's presidential and college football choices will be a challenge for us this year as my liberal, Alabama second cousin and his family will be visiting our home this holiday weekend. I don't know how many times I can take of "Roll Tide" before I smack him and/or his wife. Both are Bama alums. LOL. But they won't be here to watch the Alabama-Auburn game Saturday, so I've got that going for me.

LOL. NOBODY in our family would ever root for Auburn! Well, that's not true. There was a small number of cousins that were Auburn fans when I was a kid, but I've never met them. Only heard about them. They were never invited to our family reunions. True.

Happy Thanksgiving OB. Enjoy those Bammer fans; they never get off the wagon, which is what I like about them.

Veritas, his daddy lives in Rainbow City, AL and is a gracious fan. The son, who is coming down from Kansas City, is one of those sickening Bama fans and his wife is even worse. But they still haven't gotten over the Sugar Bowl and I don't let them forget it. LOL. Have a good holiday.

Well, we lived on Whorten Bend and did our grocery shopping in Rainbow City. I imagine I exchanged a howdy or two with the daddy. :)

I have a few in-laws coming; one a husker & the SIL who is a hawkeye pumper but they know who's team is king and probably won't bring up the topic unless they play tomorrow
