This is going to be one fun game, win or lose. I still think with home field advantage we're looking at a 9 to 13 point win. The nellies go crazy.....HA!...BTW I'll take a one pointer.

The Rivals Buckeye board has been dead for awhile now. I left it a few years ago The big one is Eleven Warriors and followed by the O-zone. I read somewhere that Eleven Warriors is - by far - the busiest board in the country .

As for what most of the Buckeye Nation is expecting on Saturday - well, your guess is as good as mine. OSU is an incredibly talented team BUT the issue, like most of you already know - lack of experience. In fact, 44 out of the 85 man roster never played a college down before this season. BUT, don't try throwing that at Urban as a local TV sports announcer (here in Columbus) did the other day. Urban cut him off quick and pointed out that the day we start using the "too young" excuse is the day him and his staff have not been doing its job in recruiting and development. In other words, if you lose players to the NFL draft, you replace them with equally talented players. This might be, however, the fastest OSU team I've ever seen and I've been a fan since the early 60s.
On the other hand, most of us Buckeyes know we will be facing an equally talented team with a top 5 coach on Saturday night. Personally, I was rooting for you guys against Houston but now we have to face a team with its back against the wall. Kind of like poking a stick at a hornet's nest. Should be a good one !

Wasn't worried about the defense. They still held Tulsa - who's known for offense - to under 200 total yards for the game and OSU still hasn't given up a defensive TD this year. The OSU offense is what had me scratching my head though. They stunk it up in the first half but came out in the 2nd half and lit it up. I think most of us realize that if we have a repeat of the 1st half against you guys on Saturday, we'll end up getting our butts kicked.
I didn't watch the second half of the Tulsa game with the delay and all. Apparently you guys shut down the running game. I think we need to run a dose of Perine and Mixon. We'll see...........
BTW, We have a new defensive tackle named Gallimore, along with our best one Charles Walker. You better have some offensive lineman.............

My board name is so obsolete. I wish I could change it, but I guess I'm stuck with it. I noticed A LOT of empty seats where we used to sit. I wonder who the genius is who decided the stadium would look good on TV with empty sections in the upper northeast corner? I'm sure the Buckeyes will fill it up, but when we play West Guardrail U, it will look bad.

I wasn't there, but people I know who WERE there said there were a lot of empty seats in the new south end zone (as well is the new visitor section). I think they announced a sell out.
Yeah, we know it's going to be a war in the trenches on Saturday. We actually have a TRUE freshman named Michael Jordan (yep, Michael Jordan) starting at left guard that beat out several older players and has a mean/nasty streak about him. He came in early during the spring and impressed the coaching staff so much that they said they had to start him. Both offensive and defensive lines are made up of a few redshirt freshman in the 2-deep sprinkled in with some veteran lineman.
If you get a chance to visit Eleven Warriors, you'll pick up on the great respect the staff has for Stoops and your program. There's a couple of other main Buckeye sites, but Eleven Warriors is the one that has a ton of info and members in their forums.

Well ULM is one thing, but if there are empty seats when Ohio State comes to Norman then that will really be disappointing.
Even after such a letdown in the Houston game, you would think OU fans would pack the stadium for opening season at home and the redone stadium. Just disappointing.
Maybe I need to look at getting tickets and making the drive every weekend now.

Click on Forum and then pick the message board you want to get into. They actually have a segment every night called the Hurry Up that deals with OSU recruiting updates every day. The one a lot of Buckeye fans are following is super DB Jeffrey Okudah out of Texas who has it narrowed down to the Buckeyes or Sooners.
I think a lot of Buckeye fans just stay away from the Rivals sites since ours basically died a few years ago. Well. let me rephrase that - the free board of our Rivals site is dead but the Rivals premium board jumps as they have supposedly ex-players and coaches as part of it. I don't feel like dishing out $9.95/month though.
Marvin Wilson will also be at the game. 5* that has listed tOSU and OU #1 and #2. I think both of them go to Texas if Strong finishes strong. Wilson is the one I want.

I don't think the Buckeyes are really in the mix for Wilson. Love to see him be part of our class but I think you're right about Strong and Texas finishing strong and eventually pulling in some big-time Texas recruits that were previously considering other schools. We only have 2 to 3 more spots open and really haven't heard Wilson's named mentioned much at all in the Buckeye recruiting circles.
Well you guys do have a lot of 5*'s waiting. Everything I've read is OSU was his favorite. Good to hear you don't think he'll sign. Watch out for Houston. They have one big time player on the defensive line and Wilson would\might make them dominant....
