OU has a great team and with that OU is 3rd in its conference. Geez. The great thing about basketball -- a team could finish 3rd in its conference and with a little luck and good play win the championship. Just once OU, just once. If I were greedy I would ask Santa for 2 major sport team championships. I will take 1 and be happy.
That's my dream, and that is for OU to win the championship in Football and roundball, same year. A bifecta?
Yep, I'd like for our foes to vomit into their mouth a bit when they hear OU, Boomer Sooner or any other handle or phrases that reminds them of US.
I love this OU team...but I don't think we have the "inside game" to be able to win a NC...and probably not the conference either. The MSU's/NC's/Duke's/KU's usually have an offensive low post scorer to compliment their shooting guards. OU has great shooting guards and not much inside to fall back on when they're having an off shooting night....which they will...and certainly against good perimeter defensive teams like MSU. Elite 8 is the ceiling for this team, imo....which is still dang good.
No kidding man!! It's pretty great that both OU football and OU basketball have great teams at the same time. Both ranked in the Top 5 at the same time!! Great time for OU sports right now.

One of ESPNs national gurus said on air yesterday that he still was not sold on OU as a top four team, but after taking Nova to the woodshed, he was close to convinced.

If you haven't watched these guys play this season you're missing out. This team is a national title contender without question.
I'm kind of liking the new Big XII. Ranked #4 in football and #3 in basketball. Not bad.
The BigXII is stacked this year. Do not overlook Texass, and WVU. Texass just beat UNC and WVU has the best bench
