I hope that happens too, but I'm not sure the stars are aligned for that this year. Either way, Baker and team dominate for the NC.

You're probably right on Henry. Just to let everybody know, Henry has 1700+ yards rushing with one game left. He's probably a lock. Last year Perine had 1700+ yards and wasn't even mentioned for the Heisman. Henry will play one more game to run his numbers up. Baker doesn't have the extra game this year either.

I'm not complaining, just the facts.....

If Henry has a good game tomorrow it is probably a done deal. He seems to have the momentum.

Yep, I agree. Here's hoping the Florida defense can shut him down, like the Bama Defense did to Fornette from LSU. If they do, look for the love go to the Clemson Q-B.

After I typed this I just wonder if most of the Heisman voters have already voted?

Perine's due will be next season barring injury. The due will have phenom collegiate career records. He reminds me of a Jerome Betus running style. All down hill but can has a superb bust of speed.

Yep, it's Eric Striker's turn to be standing at midfield, tossing the coin, and saying to the opposition, "You stole my boy's Heisman! I want it back!"

The OOOO.U chant in the background is awesome. That's a desperate fan base wanting to crawl out of the rut.

Win or lose (the Heisman), Baker Mayfield is the nation's Most Valuable Player, hands down. No player in America had an impact on their team as much as Baker did this year for the Oklahoma Sooners. Based on the offensive AND defensive performances when Baker was on the sidelines rather on the field, OU could be looking at another 8-5 season. Yeah, I think he was good for the defense too. His leadership was that important. Trevor nor Cody could have provided what Baker did for OU. He has been special and I really do feel he deserves the Heisman. Hopefully both Alabama and Clemson will lose today, and their Heisman candidates get shut down as well. Then perhaps the most deserving player (Baker Mayfield) will steal the trophy. If not, Striker can deliver his message.

Interesting story about Torrance. I was in grad school that year. I went to the student union for some lunch over Christmas break with no students on campus.
Torrance was having a tv interview in the dining hall of the student union. There were maybe 15-20 students surrounding him. Very scarce.

He didn't care. When the interview was over, he stood up on a table in the
Middle of the union and started an OU chant. It was damn cheesy, but still one of the coolest impromptu things I've ever seen.

Hey, I won't lie. I got chills and got in the middle of that little chant. It was the coolest thing ever.

BTW. Did anyone notice how scared Weinke seemed in his response to Torrance? Torrance didn't waver. He had the mile long stare. Awesome.
Weinke sounded like he just wanted his mommy.
