Watch baseball and remember all the wonderful family picnics I enjoyed over my lifetime. Sadly those days are gone and so are the folks who made them special. If you are blessed to have your loved ones... hug them and use the holiday to make lasting memories.
Golf trip with buddies to Sandhills of Nebraska...

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend. Just be mindful that Memorial Day is not a day of celebration but a day of honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Cast flies at rising trout before lighting up the grill and enjoying some music.
working in garden today, band playing at Hop Garden in Evansville WI tomorrow 2-5, if you in and around Madison Wisconsin come check us out, neighborhood party Mon
Contemplate how I can retire now and travel because I am sick and tired of working everyday. I want to do what I want and remove myself from shiiteshows!!! I think I need to start drinking now.....
Haha. I remember. The only thing worse than the grind of the shiiteshow, is waking up and having nothing to get away from.
Only at night… with the Dean’s daughter! Mitch Cumstein taught me well! Will you also be putting from the rough?
Stay there, don't come out, lolSit in a corner in the basement.
Already went to an observance this morning. Our township has a beautiful Veterans Park and they had a very nice program with a brass quintet, speakers including a retired general, and a three-volley salute followed by taps. I am not military but I deeply appreciate and respect those who are, most especially our fallen heroes. Thank you, may you rest in peace and may we never forget!
I haven’t figured out the rest of the weekend yet… much of it will involve puttering around the house and yard trying to feel like I’ve accomplished a few things without exerting a whole of lot of real effort, lol

Going to Kennywood. We used to take the kids there on Memorial Day almost every year when they were younger. It's surprisingly empty that day.
"Listen to punk rock music and badmouth your country" (from An Officer and a Gentleman).
I volunteer at the Medal of Honor Grove outside Valley Forge Park in PA. Wonderful place to visit and marvel at the heroism of men who went way above and beyond the call of duty. Many of them died in action. Not a one of them had heel spurs that prevented them from valorous service.

Hmmm, if it’s a deep and narrow enough circular basement, we can call down to him “It puts the lotion on its skin before it gets the scone!”
Of course, we all know WHERE he’d be putting the lotion
Just sold my 85 Scrambler last week. Thinking what my HOA would hate even more than they hated that, and I've come up w/ a 73 Thunderbird. They'd love this one. I'd leave the hood (which is the size of a small drawbridge) up for days.

To complete its proper appearance you should periodically jack it up, remove the wheels and rest the axles on some stacked cinderblocks.Just sold my 85 Scrambler last week. I'll be finishing Forest Pogue's Four Volume authorized biography of General George Catlett Marshall (One of the greatest American's ever) and watch Band of Brothers. I will also attempt to solve a Rubik's cube.
Shalom

Band of Brother’s marathon on HBO2 starts at 6 am. A little earlier than normal, but a great tradition by HBO.

Been planting the garden and mulching the past few days. Was going to pick up Mission BBQ for dinner, but website says they are closed to honor Memorial Day. Good for them, and another reason to support them.
