KO Returns for TDs in NFL

Thought these results are interesting. My motivation was to see if the new KO rules are impacting the number of TDs.

I guess that comparing the year-to-year percentages of successful onside kicks would be a thing.

While it does eliminate the chance of the “surprise” onsides kick, that is/was a very rare play. I’d think the safety risks will greatly outweigh that when they eventually make the change…my prediction is it happens next year.
