Gamecock vs Sooner Game thread.

[Goofy141!]

D on this drive hasn’t made the OU QB be even halfway accurate - they’ve been WIDE open

[cockyferg]

Worst thing that could’ve happen was the 1 and 18. Defense relaxes and gives OU some confidence on top of absolutely horrible blown coverages in the secondary

Multiple blown coverages

[KingWard]

Not the roster my friend. We have talent - it’s the playcalling - unimaginable and just awful.

Our line play is also doing us no favors.

[Goofy141!]

Our line play is also doing us no favors.

Do we have any runs that go wide!!

[Beanerball]

Playing way to conservative on offense, playing not to lose. Stretch the edges, opens things up for Sellers. Why are we not running play action and roll him out? So stupid, it’s what we are built for

[1vagamecock]

D stiffens and hols Oklahoma to 3

[cockyferg]

I just don't understand all the past plays where we are throwing it four and five yards behind the line of scrimmage. Especially when we do that on 2nd and long or 3rd down. I know screens are supposed to work in theory, but you so very rarely see them actually work to gain yards

[cockyferg]

I still have yet to see us just throw a deep post or a go route to Nick harbor

[Goofy141!]

So we throw for about 15 and know that worked so we just run right up the middle twice. Genius

[cockyferg]

Sellers does have nice touch on the deep ball when he has time to throw it

[Goofy141!]

All of our running plays are the same

[FootballLVR]

Gotta get some offense going. 3-3 except for those three plays at the beginning.

[cockyferg]

I think the best thing about this drive, even if we don't score, is that the defense is finally getting a few plays to sit down and rest

[cockyferg]

All of our running plays are the same

I think one of the things that is so frustrating is that you watch our team run the same play ineffectively over and over and over, and instead of trying to design a play that might work they just say it's an "execution problem". At some point it ceases to be execution when the play just fundamentally doesn't seem to work.

Also, on a side note, you would think that our offense would have gotten a lot better having to practice against this defense everyday

[1vagamecock]

Touchdown Gamecocks

[cockyferg]

See, that was a play I don't think I have seen us run this year, and it actually worked. They used a little bit of deception, they moved some guys around, and someone was able to get open because he had time to throw it

[1vagamecock]

32-3 Gamecocks

[Beanerball]

Finally, play action, TD

[bayrooster]

That TD was nice. Great way to go into halftime.

[Cybercock]

That TD was nice. Great way to go into halftime.

Lets hope it takes us to halftime

[Cybercock]

Auburn up on overated mizzou

[Cybercock]

Air it out
Go for the kill

[Blues man]

Impressed with Sellers' touch on his pass while mobile today. Ton of improvement showing there.

[bayrooster]

WTH Beamer? Take the damned points!

[Cybercock]

Well who can complain about 32-3?

[Beanerball]

WTF was that? Just kick the field goal. Straight on attempt

[bayrooster]

Well who can complain about 32-3?

Should've been 35-3

[Goofy141!]

Too cute Beamer. Take the points. Geez. Will he ever learn?

[1vagamecock]

32-3 Gamecocks
Great 1st half.

[KingWard]

That last play was a concession to our weak-legged field goal kicker.

[KingWard]

Too cute Beamer. Take the points. Geez. Will he ever learn?

He doesn't trust the field goal kicker at that range. He has a noodle leg.

[bayrooster]

That last play was a concession to our weak-legged field goal kicker.

He would have easily made that. Hopefully those 3 pts won't matter in the end

[Goofy141!]

Wasn’t thrilled about that last play but if he has time to throw it - it’s another 6 - call was spot on - execution was not

[Goofy141!]

He doesn't trust the field goal kicker at that range. He has a noodle leg.

It was only a 46 yard kick. He should be able to make that - if not - run the other kicker out

[Goofy141!]

The more I watch the ACC - the more I realize our record would be identical to the Taters record but I do believe we would have given UGA a better game

[Goofy141!]

Miami is a fake at # 6 that’s for sure

[Wulliecock]

Beamer lacks gravitas

[KingWard]

It was only a 46 yard kick. He should be able to make that - if not - run the other kicker out

Good plan. Give it a shot with a piston leg.

[Goofy141!]

We definitely need to go down and score out of the gate. Take all hope away

[Goofy141!]

Good plan. Give it a shot with a piston leg.

Do t understand that response. From what I remember Herra and the other kid was neck and neck going into the opener
