10/11, 10/12 CFB (non PSU) games thread

[Tom McAndrew]

Please use this thread to discuss the games played on Oct. 11, or Oct. 12, excluding the PSU - USC game.

Harvard is wiping their a$$es with Cornell. 38-20, Harvard, 12:22 left in the 4th quarter. espn2.

[Tom McAndrew]

NW having their way with Maryland. 14-0, NW, with 12:08 left in the 1st half

[Bones80]

Another Maryland blackout, another Maryland beat down.

[Tom McAndrew]

2 nice completions by NW in the 1st half:

[Tom McAndrew]

After NW went up 14-0, Maryland fumbled on the ensuing KO, and NW recovered on the MD 23-yard-line. Locks's team is not playing top notch tonight.

[Grant Green]

NW having their way with Maryland. 14-0, NW, with 12:08 left in the 1st half

Maryland looks like they were already game planning for USC next week. NW Lausch with some nice throws so far.

[Tom McAndrew]

MD holds NW to a FG. 17-0, NW, with 10:50 left in the 1st half

[rudedude]

One would think that Maryland needs to reconsider the color scheme for Friday night football games. Their Blackout games appear to implicate the unconsciousness of their team on the field.

It’s Deja vu all over again for MD and a Friday night home game.

[Tom McAndrew]

NW - Maryland has been pretty boring since the 2nd qtr.

Maryland currently has the ball, and has driven from their 1 to the NW 2, with 2:00 left in the 3rd qtr.

Edit: 1st & goal on the NW 2, and they lost yards on 3 straight plays. They'll attempt to kick a FG at the start of the 4th qtr.

[CDLionFL]

Line judge on the far side royally screwed NW out of a safety. You gotta get the ENTIRE ball out of the end zone. I'm not sure the runner even broke the plane with it. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything obvious on replay and since this isn't the ACC, they had to stick with the call on the field.

NW with the big strip and score to go up 24 to 10

Go smart guys!

[PSUQbKeeper]

the stadium has emptied out in Maryland lol

watching PSU students take over their student section after that one win was awesome

[Phlebitis]

I enjoy watching Maryland lose. Forgiveness is not one of my better attributes.

yeah, the PSU students' actions were great.

As for tonight's game, I don't know how crowded the stadium was.

[Tom McAndrew]

this play resulted in a FG for NW:

and then Maryland fumbled again, and NW recovered. It's 27-10, NW, with 7:24 left in the game, and NW at MD's 26 yard line.

[ApexLion]

Cam Skattebo, senior Caucasian TB for AZ State, formerly of SaCramento State. How can you not root for this guy? All ethnicity aside, Sac State to starting at Arizona State and putting up numbers - unique to say the least. Not to mention the name.

btw, gametime temp in Tempe for Utah-AZ State, take a guess.

99 degrees, it’s cooled since kickoff to a breezy 92

[PSUQbKeeper]

lol Maryland, I picked a good time to tune in apparently

[Tom McAndrew]

FG for NW makes it 30-10.

Maryland's QB gets picked off on the ensuing series. NW with the ball on Maryland 20, with 6:05 left in the game.

[BobPSU92]

A$$. BEATING.

locksley’s got this.

[LionJim]

Watching Wisconsin-Rutgers.

Realizing how much I despise Wisconsin.

[BobPSU92]

HERE. COMES. SATURDAY. NIGHT. NOON.

washington at iowa on FOX. cade mcnamara is still the QB for iowa. Is he 60?

Little strong there. Cornell didn’t accept you?

Boy, Rutgers stinks today.

[BobPSU92]

No one accepted me. Not then, not now, not ever.

[PSU87]

Boy, Rutgers Rutgres stinks today.

FIFY

[Midnighter]

Holy crap.

[BobPSU92]

Holy crap.

I love it, but they probably recycled an old oregon state joke.

[Nittany1865Farmer]

Rutgres looks and smells like a New Jersey dumpster fire. Surprised Wisconsin is only 14 points ahead in the game.

schiano’s got this.

[CyphaPSU]

Here we see how Iowa's short goalposts actually come into play—and potentially hurt the home team.

[Grant Green]

Washington learning about that kinnick voodoo. Turnovers and special teams. Classic iowa.

[Nittany1865Farmer]

Rutgres getting badgered in their own stadium. Wisconsin ahead of the Scarlet Tin Cans 28 - 0.....

[MtNittany]

Another Maryland blackout, another Maryland beat down.

They suck. I made the mistake of betting on them last night. Fortunately I had a couple of other wins that covered it. Never again MD.

Most every season they start out playing decently and then regress. It's almost as if Locksley gets tired / bored / lazy.

[Midnighter]

Damn!
