I think he got too focused on data instead of pitching.
Of course, as did Lemonis. But the facts are he was still the pitching coach that engineered the best staff we’ve ever had, even if it didn’t work out later.

Lemonis is still suffering from analytical obsession. If he’d quit that shlt, we’d be fine.

ETA: there is a fundamental disconnect about how to coach baseball, and it’s different at every level. And even at the pro level, where they are using analytics the right way and doing the correct things, it’s still resulting in a boring product.

I knew Foxhall when he was at College of Charleston. He was the reason they got to Regionals and Super Regionals. He's a great coach/teacher but no matter how good you are eventually the game passes you by, either that or the players do.

We have 7 coaches listed on the roster. On Hailstate.com 5 of the 7 have beards including Foxhall's replacement......
yeah, but foxhall's not a beard guy. if you can't grow a good one don't try to fake it.
