Crawford and Kornblut say he’s an option. Crawford came out of nowhere with this a couple of weeks ago before KJ had allegedly not made his kind up. The timing is strange. On3 reported that Swann had committed to USC. Then KJ announces he’s going to the portal. Then Swann publicly commits to LSU.

I’m reluctant to risk Sellers for one year of Jefferson but I get your point. I’m too old school for this frankly, it’s like an open marriage.

While I would love to have KJ as a Gamecock, I don't want to lose Sellers. I'm worried Sellers won't want to be a backup for another year. The portal has radically changed college football. There are very few Dakeron Joyners out there. Today's players will transfer at the drop of a hat for a few more NIL dollars.

I hear you. I don't think there's that much of a market for a guy with 4 pass attempts vs Furman. Don't get me wrong, I love Sellers and think he's going to be great. But I can't see a serious P5 program promising him a starting job.

Heard Tony Morrell on the radio this morning talking about this situation. He agreed that KJ is a factor now, along with Murphy. He said Beamer has up front with Sellers the whole time. Said they want to carry 4 scholarship QBs and Sellers knows that. Bailey deciding to move on made it a little more urgent that they find another option in the portal. He said he doesn't anticipate any issues whatsoever, so that's good.

It's definitely a strange feeling. I don't think anyone would bat an eye if we were talking about bringing in another HS recruit at the last minute.
