You would think and hope that with those tactics in place - and expected by opposing defenses - that the Steelers could add some wrinkles and run a vertical passing play or two with success. They surely had set the table with the horizontal game to at least try a downfield throw.

And you have a freak talent in Pickens that can win more than his share of 50/50 balls. Why not throw it up once in a while, maybe get a PI
