We cannot be in 4th and 1 situations against Iowa. That one could have been it for us. We convert then maybe we go down and score. We let them march down the field here, we’re done. We are not storming back from a 3 TD deficit against Iowa without Chiles.

We’re used to having a defense that is better than the offense. So. We expect to at least keep the other team within reach for our offense to get going. We were not as talented as we needed to be from the start, even without injuries. Especially on DL. And no one has really stepped up to fill the gaps (literally).

Scoring drive to run out the half and getting the ball back would be a big salvage to a disastrous start.

How can he get anything going with our left tackle providing no resistance whatsoever and our receivers all look totally blanketed. At the very least he’s a lefty so the left side is not his blind side.

Only chance for a W today was sensational OL play. And they look absolutely awful.
