On November 5, 2026, President Donald Trump signed a proclamation designating the Oval Office, the Outer Oval Office, and the Cabinet Room as the Oval Office National Monument under the Antiquities Act. This action was taken two days after Democrats regained control of both houses of Congress in the midterm elections.

Scope and Limitations — The proclamation aims to prevent future presidents from making major structural or architectural changes, such as demolishing walls or altering the room’s shape. However, it does not restrict a future president’s authority to redecorate, select furnishings, or make ordinary operational and security modifications that do not substantially impair the historic structure. Trump stated that any "major modifications" would require Congressional approval, though this requirement is not explicitly detailed in the proclamation text.

Context and Legal Standing — The move follows extensive cosmetic renovations by Trump, including the addition of gold accents, portraits, and drapes to the Oval Office. The White House grounds are already a National Historic Landmark, and critics note that Trump himself previously demolished the East Wing for a new ballroom. As an executive action, the proclamation can potentially be overturned by a successor president, and its legal force regarding specific architectural preservation remains untested in court.

What if he welched like your boyfriend? How funny would that be 🤣
Haha no way I could behave like lipstick and have any pride in my life anymore. I’ll make right on my bets. Once the election is concluded and certified, that is. Who knows, maybe something super exciting happens and we get to see democrats in prison instead of congress!

there is a reason why the far left is seething over miller getting this promotion and their inability to get rid of Hegseth (who is q posting btw)

I never said I was black. I said I was a person of color. There’s a difference (perhaps you need a Harvard education like mine to understand)
Ok my point remains. As a supposed non-white Harvard graduate you should be the last person to support Stephen Miller. He wants you deported and expelled from the US

Fake News but I appreciate you trying to tell me how to think (not really)
I'm sure the WH won't get way more chaotic and fascist.

The election fraud isn’t going to stand this time. Buckle up.

Do you not understand how much power has changed hands overnight? 256 seats in the House, 56 seats in the Senate and 29 Democratic governors. America and the world are on one side - you Trump and Nosferatu on the other.

Good luck with your plans.
It may put me on the other side of the fence from many (most?) liberals, but I am TOTALLY FOR the appointment of Steven Miller as Trump's Chief of Staff. This whole notion that reasonable and rational people within this Administration have been in place there to serve as "guardrails" against Cheeto Hitler's worst impulses was just a bunch of bullshiat from the get go. Precious few of those "reasonable and rational people" existed, and Trump ignored and/or fired them while doing whatever his fevered brain told him to do.

Let Trump and Voldemort partner up and do whatever stupid shiat they think they can get away with. Trump is now the lamest of lame ducks, and his "popularity" numbers will continue to sink as increasing numbers of rats (aka, Republican legislators and Executive Branch officials) abandon the SS Trump. His work with Steven Miller will only accelerate the process. Additionally, Trump, Miller, and other Republicans are about to get an education on what real Congressional oversight means. May the subpoenas flow!

Wait, wut?! Has Scrubster been trying to convince you that he attended Harvard? As in Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts? Harvard Cosmetology School I would believe.

I'm with you Bear, putting Stephen Miller front and center will only accelerate the end of Trump's legitimacy. He's literally the poster boy for everything Americans hate about this administration, so we need him to get him as much air time as possible. 😅
