Think I Might ride up to Maiden tonight.

We are a friendly bunch 😂
NAF, if you do decide to ride up to Maiden, tonight, wear your Burns shirt, they don’t hate Burns.

In Maiden, they all know each other, and if you didn’t identify yourself as being from Burns, they might think you’re from Lincolnton, or Newton Conover, or Bandys, or Bunker Hill, or Hickory, or any of the locations in Iredell, Burke or Caldwell counties, but the main thing to remember is they’re a friendly bunch. :)

NAF, you’re one of the best guys on here. If I did that to you I’d be afraid the Lord would chastise me (probably in trouble with him, anyway, over a more recent colloquy).

Actually, I don’t think anybody dislikes the Bulldogs, even Maiden. It’s just that they’re uh, how the hades should I put this? They’re a tight-knit bunch and a little suspicious of strangers. :)

While we're quoting Karl Childers, and since he's apparently an East Lincoln alumni, let me say, "I like them french-fried potatoes. Mm-hm".

I say that because I had lunch the other day not too far from East Lincoln high school at a cafe that previously I had only ever had breakfast at...and let me tell you, their fries were great (as well as their steak tips). @Lincolnton it's a straight shot, technically, just take 73 east, turn right onto Old Plank, then turn right onto Old HWY 16. Lowesville Cafe will be a mile or so down on your right. They are closed on Mondays, though.

As your going, I'm sure you'd be interested in the new Sports Complex that Lincoln Charter is building on Old Plank. It'll be on you right as well. There has been some equipment sat out there on the property for a while...never moved and nothing done for months. They finally started clearing brush and trees this week. Wonder if they had old Karl come and take a look at the equipment for them...

LOL, “French Fried puhtaters”, How much ye want furrem?”

GDevil, I’ve heard lots of good things about Lowesville Cafeteria. I’ll have to try it.

It’s funny you mentioned the Lincoln Charter Sports Complex… Yesterday, after taking my cousin to the doctor in Charlotte, I came back through Huntersville…
Coming up 73, got to thinking about that and wondered how far along they were in finishing it.Thanks for the update.

Good luck, tonight.
