I would disagree with that assessment. Different team and better competition, but better pass protection here and familiar faces at wr, te, and the coaching staff. Some guys like Will Howard are able to transition from big 12 to Big Ten. Rocco was not able to. I would not say he is performing above his rankings based on his entire career. Yeah, Drew was a disappointment, but he never had competent WRs. Rocco does this season. Word on the street is that the coaching staff itself is in utter shock privately over Rocco’s regression.I understand the frustration and Becht certainly has his limitations but I think he has actually played over my expectations in some ways considering the surrounding cast. In the 247Sports Composite coming out of high school he was a 3-star prospect, No. 33 quarterback nationally, No. 76 player in Florida, and No. 572 overall. Becht has built a career that has exceeded those expectations. He's made some plays this year with less talent than Allar made before he got injured last year and look at the RBs and TEs Allar had to work with. I think Becht sees the field pretty well and is a good leader. He may not have 4 or 5 star natural ability but I think he does a lot with what he has to work with and is a tough guy and a strong leader. There is just a large talent gap across the board this year and we may have to live with it for a couple years until recruiting and the portal fill the gaps. It wasn't going to happen this year as Campbell and team had to put a team together pretty much from scratch.
