Senior World Championships preview/thread

Just not when they wrestle an American.

I do think Puerto Rico is a little bit of a different thing, since that's an American territory. Any Iowa guy that wrestles elsewhere for another country, I'll be rooting for them internationally except when they face an American.

Lastly, it looks like Dean Peterson was his training partner for his gold medal run. Dean has been in Iowa for what, 18 months? and he's now Spencer's guy.

That's just awesome. He was a helluva pickup for Iowa.

We all need to tread carefully with respect to the other countries thing. We may very well be opening a Puerto Rico pipeline. Are we not going to be cheering for the Bachmanns when they are wrestling senior level?

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. It's odd going there. Everyone speaks Spanish but all highway signs are U.S. style and also have English. And their national parks have the same style of font of ones I've seen in the U.S.

Meh.

Yea I’m aware of that. They also compete against the US at the world championships. Up until last year Sebastian Rivera was out there winning world and Olympic medals at 65 while we weren’t doing squat at the weight.

Because those sign are all being paid for with U.S. tax money?

As well as all the important rolls of paper towels that were provided by Bonespurs to help them clean everything up... 🫡
