It won’t work against teams with actual centers, but I like Federiko as the 5 much more than any of the other options.

32 has a quick release and no foot speed. Several shooters this year. I’m not sold on their effectiveness against competition, but they scored well enough in the first half tonight.

we seem pretty short.

Binghamton is a bottom 15-20 KenPom team, so I’m not taking much from this. With that being said, yes, seems like we have some shooters. This is going to be a Carmody-level rebounding team though… which is obviously not a complement lol.

Some takeaways:

One thing that sticks out tonight is 30 attempted 3s. Feels like that might be their best shot at least when they go in like tonight.

West will eventually be an All-B1G player if he sticks around.

I think the defense is loads better with Federiko at the 5, but those lineups might get destroyed on the boards against better competition.

Gelo getting a lot of rebounds might be key without an effective true big man. If he could shoot he might be our second best player even with how well Pratt and Karasinski played tonight.

Pratt looked good against this level of competition. If he can be 80% as effective in B1G play, he'll be awesome.

Karasinski looks like a defensive liability, but the other team will have to close on him pretty quickly or he'll hurt them at the three.

West is the best player on the team without question.

I just don't see much speed or agility on the Cats and that's going to make success very hard in conference. The kid from Finland doesn't seem to understand the game or his role and is going to get targeted and smoked. And both he and Ghai don't have enough weight to do much more than get run over. Maybe they can teach guy to be more Wembyish on D. Let the guy go by and then just jump and swat the ball whenever it goes up.

West lot parking access from Isabella is closed. We had to circle the stadium to get on Central to reach the lot.

I worry about the insane traffic funneling and backups if that’s the new setup.
They have to change that. They also couldn’t scan passes properly so it took like 5 minutes to get in with literally 5 cars. It’s a total clown show.

We spoke with the police on the way out and according to them that's the way it will work this season. Ashland will only be northbound traffic, so you have to come up Central to get into the West lot.

Also, after the game, they blocked westbound and northbound traffic at Isabella. You could only turn right. the next northbound intersection, 4th Street, was blocked by a police car. Dupage Place was the first available northbound street.

If the police were correct and the plan is to funnel absolutely all vehicle traffic down Central to Ashland, it will be a massive problem come conference games. I can't imagine it working, but I can imagine hundreds of empty seats come game time as people who only allotted an hour to make the turn off of Green Bay are still waiting to make that left.

Someone with half a brain needs to step up and stop that plan. It will be one of the most epic failures imaginable. I picked the Purple Lot because I can easily get in off Isabella, now it’s by far the worst lot and will take ages to get by the other lots that you have to filter through on the way into the game. What a mess!
