Obviously hope we do, but with our history there I can’t pick us to win. Not to mention it’s going to be a wild atmosphere there
I’ve seen us lose in so many flukey ways, I’m never that confident about the game.
I’m confident we win a close one. Coach Stein has had 2 weeks to prepare a gameplan for Tennessee and that will be the difference.

In 2018 we lost to a bad UT team after the Georgia debacle. Still a little scarred but I think theirs a new mentality now.
The year we lost to UT when Cobb didn’t even touch the ball still chaps my butt.

I don't know if the numbers back this up, but it seems like Stoops was historically bad out of the bye week. I think we're all anxious to see how Stein does out of his first bye week, albeit this is against an angry top 15 ranked UT team at their place, so stakes are different. With Stein saying "this is a work week", i love the mentality and the message that sends to the kids that though we've been extrememly successful so far, this isn't over and we have higher goals and aspirations.
With that being said, Tennessee has everything to prove and an incredible home atmosphere will lift them over a really good Kentucky team. I think the crowd causes some mistakes, likely a turnover or two and that'll be our demise in this one. Hope I'm wrong.

Just can’t trust our secondary against their receivers, unfortunately..
Gonna be tough to get out of there with a win, but I won't be surprised at either outcome.

They aren't a good passing team this season. Its more like the team heupel had when Milton was there. Their qb play is pretty bad regardless of who they put back there. This year they're winning with defense.
Like another poster said, by most logical measures we should win this game. We beat three other road teams better than UT already. Our doubts are just ghosts of the past. The good thing about mass roster turnover is lots of guys have no ghost when it comes to UT.
That said, its still an insanely tough place to play and they are desperate to win and stay in the race. I think we will lose by 10 or less but still lose.
Well I expect if its tied or close in 4th we see the SEC refs take over. Flags everywhere and if we do win in Knoxville we will be ranked top 5 next Tues when CFP is released. Im putting my house payment on Tennessee and if I gotta pay for a win then no problem. Go Cats

They have the worst passing offense in the conference at 180 yards/g and apparently still haven’t decided who’s starting at QB this week. The MacIntyre kid who replaced the 5* freshman the last couple of games looks a lot better imo but their passing offense isn’t close to what we’ve seen in the past. Stopping the run is our biggest priority, they’re about 210 per game and pretty solid. Good thing is we have Greene back at LB this week so our LB room in general looks a lot better than it did a couple of weeks ago. My biggest concern is seeing them grind it out on the ground keeping our D on the field and then their defense is one of the best in the country. Probably the first time we’ll see Heupel use a ball control approach imo and I think it’s going to be a low scoring game, somewhere in the 21-24 point range for the winner like we saw against OU.

No doubt it will be a tough game but the Cats have played all season minus half of the Bama game like they feel no pressure at all. I think all the pressure is on UT already having two losses. Will be a brawl I have no doubt.
Play clean and avoid the mustard bottles and the Cats will pull it out.
