Interesting matchup here as Independence surprisenly defeated Butler 22-20 last Friday. I‘m interested to see how this one turns out.

Indy is really bad this year. I was shocked when I saw the score. I had Butler by 3 scores.
My understanding is Indy returned their starting QB which Butler wasn’t prepared for so it threw everything off. It’s a game Butler should have won.
From what i am hearing there isn’t a full buy in from the kids regarding what LJ is doing from a game plan and play call perspective. It has caused several players to quit and some threatened to quit after the Indy game. From what I heard I can understand why some players were upset.

It almost always comes down to coaching. Newsome and then Hales are no longer there.
New coach is younger and I think it will take some time for him to build it up. In this day-in-age, he will probably need some transfers in.
Coach Littlejohn is fine. They were 5-7 last year with Coach Hales. Everyone thought Indy QB was not gonna play. He's a definite game changer. Also Butler has a much different offense and their 3rd offensive change in 3 years. Give Littlejohn time and he will have Butler competing. Id expect Butler to whip Indy this week. Butlers main issue is Oline right now.
Also Indy has a good staff too. Coach Williams will have those guys motivated this week. Two first time HC. give them time.
