Well, we wouldn’t have that talent if he wasn’t the head coach so I don’t know.
I get hat he’s not Vince Lombardi, but he’s given us too many good moments to be coincidental. He’s also given us too many bad moments for it to be coincidental. I think they probably balance each other out and he’s an OK coach.

I disagree strongly with this.

An argument for 7-1 is ok. Perhaps. 6-2 is much more "in reality" ...... we should not have lost the KY game, that's a fact. If you wanted to say we shouldn't have lost a 16 point lead to Miss St.... I can't really argue with you. You'd be right. So, 7-1. At the very least 6-2 is what I'm saying.

Beating Bama and UGA is always going to be a very tall order. Them and LSU are just the kings of the SEC right now. But Bama is on the decline and if we're being honest with how dynasties work.....UGA has probably peaked under Kirby as well.... so, the SEC is looking for the next team to create a dynasty. - Why not us? Sorry, had to.

Any sane person would come to the conclusion that, that is true. Yes.

After 3 consecutive losses, and 2 of them basically being really bad losses in that it felt like they were wins that were stolen away.... plus your star Defensive end throws a punch and gets ejected while simultaneously seemingly ignoring coaches on national tv....... if the wheels were going to fall off for good, THAT would have been the place it happened. In that stretch. - IMHO, a lesser coach wouldn't have been able to salvage that. I don't think any sane person would argue about that.

So yeah, he can coach. He didn't lose the team nor the focus. But God almighty him and Sellers drives me absolutely nuts sometimes.

Sellers needed motivation. Giving Woods more 1st team practice snaps was a motivator along with some strong words from the coach about impressing some NFL scouts.

With a 24-team playoff, the new paradigm will mean "good coaches" are those who get their teams to peak at the right time. Losing 2, or even 3 (maybe 4?), games early in the season won't doom your chances to make a run at the national title. As crazy as it would have seemed previously, Beamer may be the perfect coach for us heading into this new era. I think we're going to get some bad seasons out of him, just as we have seen. But I also think we're going to get a fair number of seasons out him where we end the regular season playing as well as anybody in the country.
