I am calling myself out. I thought he should have won the job coming out of camp. I was incredibly wrong. He is terrible. His pocket awareness is awful. Maybe in high school he had 10 seconds to sit there and maker throws but he seems oblivious to what's happening around him. It's also hard to understand how a coaches son stands totally flat-footed in the pocket like that. I've never seen a QB do that before. It's weird.

To be fair - GS has made his public interaction so dull and sanitary there was no way to know.

That RU football wasn’t putting out posts on x or insta during summer camp is so clear how tight the grip is.

I scratch my head though thinking back to the TKR podcasts predicting that Surace would win the role. I don’t care how bad our D is - Surace couldn’t conceivably have looked even with Lonergan at any point let alone better. And DL is no superstar but…. I don’t get it. As I posted on another string, I don’t recall us ever having a back up who was this incompetent. The thing about it is our OL isn’t terrible - it’s not like the Ash years and the first few years of 2.0 where the QBs truly had no time. Completing only 3 passes in a whole game (and one of them was a great play by our TE) is horrendous.

I think the 4th string walk-on is probably the next Tom Brady.
And you think the guy out there is just fine. Hint-25% completion percentage and balls sailing way out of bounds are not good for any QB.

But you go on with your contrarian takes. You even do this in the EV thread with a documented problem, claiming the problem does not exist.

I don’t think you understand the word contrarian. I’m stating our 2nd string is better than our 3rd string. It might be contrarian to your take but not to the consensus.

my Lighting doesn’t have any of the issue you are encountering. Sorry to hear about you truck. I suspect the different that I don’t have Blue Cruise. I don’t like all the unnecessary high-tech crap because it just translates into a big repair bill later.

And probably one of the reasons that Zinn pulled funding because if the football program isn’t going all in to generate revenue, then you have to reduce budget.

FWIW, they were putting out some posts, but in my opinion, not enough to really make a push to sell tickets

Again, you aren’t considering the 3 DPIs and 3 ‘drops’. Don’t get me wrong, he did not play well and deserves critique, but let’s at least try and paint the total picture. There were 9 decent throws out of 15 I believe it was.

Also, I’m going to assume that we kept the tight end in on almost every single snap to support the long passing game plan so that was one less receiver to throw to and that Michigan has to cover.

Let’s also not ignore that he was playing the number two defense in the country and probably had Greg’s voice in his head not to throw INTs. The performance of the players not only reflects the player but the coaching staff too. They recruited him, they developed him, they prepared him for this game and they made the game plan.

And Duff mostly didn’t play which meant that we didn’t have a single advantage on the field probably.

I perfectly understand contrarian. How do we know 2rd string is better than 2nd string? Because the coaches decided and told the fans that? That's rich considering their history. What did their prized QB GWb do when he finally left Rutgers --nothing on 2 different teams, one of those teams a next level down.

Meanwhile, 3 separate QBs that were passed over by St Greg won starting jobs and had decent careers post Rutgers. This seems to indicate this coaching staff has both a talent evaluation problem and a talent development problem. But you thing bc they deemed #6 third string, the is automatically worse than #10.

And my truck is fine as I stated in the EV thread, but you seemed to debate the existence of a problem and wanted to attribute it to driver error. This was after I posted the warning that Ford released and a long thread detailing the problem.

mods lost a lot of credibility when they acted incredulous when AJ lost the job. They have bad sources

Didn’t the same coaching staff bring in another QB to replace Wimsatt? Should they get credit for that? Wimsatt won 7 games in his last year. AK couldn’t beat that. We all know you are an expert at all things and everything is “contrarian” if it goes against your beliefs.
