Rd 2 has some awesome match ups

[ODERTY1]

It'll be a good weekend of football
Which is your favorite and why?

Montini at Morris…..will be a great game.

[UIUC 17]

Haven’t been able to find the score of the Maine South game, but if they won I’d say Ignatius at Maine South. Don’t know that they’ve ever played each other before

[Wassup13_rivals219252]

St Rita at Downers North

[Wassup13_rivals219252]

Actually I looked at the games coming up and only the two mentioned so far are the only ones exciting to me for this round.

[Wassup13_rivals219252]

I would say IC and Byron in a couple weeks would be a great one if it happens.

It was 28-0 MS at halftime. Thats the last I heard.

They won big

Batavia vs BR hersey vs gw? All of 8a pretty good

Hopefully Byron hasn’t lost too much. Not easy to replace a couple D1 kids at a 3A public. Their conference has looked pretty bad so far.

It’ll happen with the winner getting RB, which might be the best of the three

It will happen just like a RB/Hope game.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Hope/IC semifinal.

Stockton/forreston, Aurora Christian/maroa, sandwich/hope (massey has hope as 18 point favorites but sandwich didn't field a varsity team a few years ago, fun to see them be successful sadly this one's at hope), morton/triad, providence/Morgan park, normal west/pekin, normal/Kenwood, brother rice/Batavia, Laurence/lww, downers north/rita, Oswego/nn, brook/Lyons, new trier/hf

What is exciting to you is subjective, but these are all games I'd be interested in watching

Does this mean the new format is working??

[K58W]

I would

I do think it will be a RB/IC semi but Hope is a dark horse imop.

Massey has RB by 28. I wouldn't be surprised if the clock runs.

Glad this is at Morris. Can only take so much of that horse neighing on the PA. This type of matchup 20 years ago would’ve blown the doors off of this board. Not even a thread made yet.

The horse on the PA along with the techno pop blaring. My ears started bleeding just thinking about it

[Carmine Evergreen]

Rt 47 is going to be pure gridlock. Might be better to park in Seneca and just walk

It's only Sunday, there will be plenty of talk about this game. Plus it has been discussed throughout the season.

Well,those guys are high

Over is set at 125

[CSLfan]

As a 7A/8A observer most of the time, my favorites are:

1. Brother Rice - Batavia
2. Hersey - Glenbard West
3. Downers Grove North - St. Rita
4. Bollinbrook - Lyons
5. Maine South - Iggy
6. Naz - Simeon
7. Loyola - York
8. Oswego - Naperville North
9. Geneva - Wheaton North
10. New Trier - Homewood Flossmoor

[SilverHelmet]

The West Suburban Silver has 5 tough matchups and could be going home after round 2. HC vs LWE, LT vs Bolingbrook, York vs Loyola, GW vs Hersey, and DGN vs St. Rita.

I was surprised to see this, thinking Montini would be favored. Will be an interesting game.

No doubt. Looking forward to seeing QB Persich play. Heard a lot of good things about him. Haven’t seen him live yet.

[crusader_of_90]

I like it when Morris is good.

Where is Wilky, cracking backs for suburban wives still?

[WIU@78]

Homewood-Flossmoor at New Trier. Should be interesting.

[ODERTY1]

Can batavia beat br? I saw them beat ms and was impressed

No Libertyville/Niles ND? I think ND has a great shot at pulling the upset, and should be a closer game than Naz/Simeon.

Would love Geneva & Morris to resurrect their rivalry if only for a home-and-home.

[Redline9]

Doubt it. I saw both the BR/MC and Batavia/MS games.

I don't see Batavia's defense shutting down BR. BR might give up some points but they should win by at least two scores.

The ESL/BR and DGN/Hersey semis would be some great high school football games.

Come on up for the game and you can swing by his office for a quick adjustment.

He's still in town....need to get Divetwin out of the witness protection program too. Maybe even The Mayor will show up.

For Morris to stand any chance they need Charlie Horsefeather back on the sidelines
