Agree… it’s going to take an effort like today to bounce them but I still think Iowa wins if they play like they did today and that’s a big IF… will see though… but they are no joke that’s for sure … great post RC…
It all depends on which Iowa team shows up.
The team that blew out Wiscy today and hung 40 on Washington would beat Northwestern, handily.
The team that showed up against Ohio St and Minnesota, will get blown out.
The thing that troubles me is that Chiles at MSU killed us, at a time when he was not highly regarded.
Now we have to face him when he’s playing really well.
I’m still picking us to win but that fact makes me uneasy.

One of the keys is containing Chiles. He has 9 rushing TDs so far this season. Nothing more frustrating than a dangerous QB picking up first downs with his legs on third down.

We did a nice job on the Badger QB today, and he was leading the B1G in QB rushing yards and 4 rush TD's...
Chip Kelly has revved up their offense with playcalling and the players have responded. jNW scored late against Indy to make it a game but Indy is the only really strong defense they played against. If Iowa is tackling well our defense can hold them down. Need to hit QB Chiles early, often, and hard.
And Hank needs another great day with his receivers as it will be tough to run on the road against a good defense
Today we faced a one dimensional offense. Northwestern can run and pass and it's on the road. Should be a much stiffer test.

You may be right but I see the offensive gap between the 2 much larger than the defensive gap and this time on the road. We will see.
Statistics support that too. I think when I checked earlier today NW was giving up 150 rushing a game at over 4 a carry. Their scoring D has been great. Granted they haven’t had a particularly tough schedule.
Don’t know which Iowa team is going to show up. This week‘s team could beat just about anybody. Last week‘s team….not so much. I would love to see more and more of the Iowa team that played at Washington and against Wisky.
I like our chances. The Minny loss was a good wake up call. If we bring the D like we did today we win by 10
I wouldn't spend a penny in that over taxed state. We refuse to go to Chicago anymore. Hotel taxes and fees are stupid crazy, gas prices at least fifty cents higher than bordering states, and not the safest place to visit either. I know the North side is different but still won't go.

Do you know how silly this sounds to a guy that was just forced to pay $1,200 for a 2 night stay at a Hyatt Place in Iowa City?
Chiles and Griffin Wilde will be the main people to contain. This matchup scares me. I don't believe they have released a time for the game yet, either. Hoping for a noon time kickoff.

problem is chiles can also throw very well and nw has lunchpail gritty receivers who can catch
Yea obviously their offense is better than Wisconsin, their defense isn’t however, giving up 364 yards per game. They are very beatable.
hope the offense produces but it’s very rare when iowa wins via offense in a game in which the defense gets exploited. in the lester era vanderbilt bowl game is the only instance that comes to mind.
