As a Hecklinski Hater and Brown Truther since week 1, this is very satisfying.

What can Brown do next?
Gotta admit he looked legit, poised and comfortable in the pocket … I still think we have 2 very good quarterbacks… so whatever works is cool either way me even if they split time but I think Hank ran away with the starting job after his performance- he was LIGHTS OUT GOOD.

To be fair we were only able to go off of what we'd seen to that point. He hadn't been good, but this is his team now!

Hank earned the starting spot great job!

I was never “for” or “against” either Hank or Heck. I just wanted whoever it was to do well.
Hopefully Hank can keep playing like he did today! Great job!

Jeremy had his chances.

--> He led that impressive late game TD drive vs Ohio State.

--> He started & played well in the 41-24 win at Washington.

--> He stunk the place up in the 13-10 loss at Minnesota.

diits crowning Hank. He was very lucky not to have an interception by the goal line similar to heck last week. Let's judge how he is over the season instead of being babies treating each game as the final answer. Hank was awesome Saturday. I hope he finishes November like that but it's no guarantee.

That’s called touch, if you put some air on it you can float it over the defenders head and into the receivers arms.

Shocking revelation, I know. Us Iowa fans are too used to guys like Heck just making a wrong read on a basic RPO play every QB in the county has run since middle school and tossing it directly into the linebackers chest plate. Thankfully we have a QB with some actual talent now in Brown.

What pass was almost intercepted?

To be fair he had one pass into a crowd in the end zone that was bobbled by the defender and nearly intercepted when Hank had a wide open receiver over the middle on a shorter route. I’m assuming Lester reviewed that with him on video.

All in all, though, good outing.

We have a “hard on” for Hank but there still hasn’t been any consistency.

Play well for a stretch of games, THEN we should pat him on the back and probably refer to him as a good quarterback.

Keep it going, Hank.

What pass was almost intercepted?

Shortly before half he threw to Ostrenga in the endzone and it was almost picked.

Outside of that pass, Hank was damn near perfect and I think that was the most impressive Iowa QB performance of the season thus far. Heck had a similar statistical performance against Washington, but Brown made more difficult throws. The running game was also not nearly as effective against Wisconsin, so Brown had to do more on his own.

Both QBs have looked good at times this year. Neither has been able to stay consistent, yet. Hopefully we see Brown stay consistent against Northwestern.
