Please use this thread to discuss all 2026 CFB games that are played in Week 9 of the season (10/30 & 31), with the exception of the PSU - Purdue game, which will have its own game thread.

I’m watching Illinois-Maryland on my Kindle (can’t conveniently flip channels). Typical Maryland, loses the ball on a first-and-goal at the 1, dang.

Early day lineup isn't great
Texas Tech-Arizona (go Cats!) could have playoff implications
Iowa-Wisconsin is interesting just to see if either are legit--would be an insanely important game next year
Duke-BC is big for the coaches...Manny needs that win

Bad football can be entertaining.
Dang, you rarely see a sequence of three straight bad plays like this. Second and eight, Illinois has a guy run a short curl at the sideline, an easy first down and the ball is thrown way wide, incomplete. Third down they go for a bomb, dropped in the end zone, hit the guy in the numbers, not an easy catch but it was right there. Then a missed field goal.

Ex-Byrd Stadium is half empty, it seems. I used to go on campus and study all morning and then saunter up to the stadium, buy a ticket.

I just now saw for the first time the Wisconsin-Iowa score. Dang, a very atypical Iowa scoreline.

It’s interesting how the board has over time evolved into a “don’t mention the score until 00:00 Q4” mindset. By and large, we all try to keep things cool here, we’re all adults and act like it. Every day I somehow get pissed off over some random ******** being posted here but let it slide, I know it comes with the territory.

Yeah Wisconsin is a really good team LMFAO. Told you all they were nothing better than a middling team. All the lame-0s claiming they were a potential Playoff team - laughable nonsense.

Trying way too hard--they beat USC last week and they're 5-3. This is college football in 2026--not sure why you and others continue to act surprised. See BYU-UCF then Baylor-UCF

Syracuse vs SMU getting exciting. 27 sec left and SU at 3 yd of SMU. Wish we could 6'5" receiver Russell from SU.

Edit: Syr up 30-27 on SMU. Dump off pass to TE for TD.

Northwestern-Oregon is a great game
Georgia learned their lesson--crushing Florida
Everyone might need to stop sleeping on Utah
