Howard & Sowell (best WRs) questionable for Purdue game

This is true. It isn't the players that followed their coach to VT that are the problem. It's the ones that followed their coach to Penn State.
Which is their option. No one is to blame. Most guys are going to follow their coach over the unknown.
Hoping it has been decided that they both play and this is keeping it close to the vest for the Purdue coaching staff and generate buzz for the fans. If they both play, the place will go nuts. I have been wtong before though, and many of you have called me out on that.

It's not--I said when Howard went out we wouldn't win again until he game back. Now, I assumed wrongly he'd be back by Michigan but we all know what this team is. Still can win but without your best two offensive players most teams will struggle. Especially average ones.
Believing we're going to win (or pretending to believe that) without Howard is going done so one can complain
If we win--MC did well with the circumstances. If we lose, it doesn't really matter at this point. The season is lost anyway
I am concerned that Howard's situation might continue to the end of the season and then he portals. This reminds me of the PSU Safety last year of whom there was never any definitive information except he was drafteligible and is now plaing in the NFL.. Howard is of course, portal eligible.
You never know but I don’t have the same portal fear. I think he is dedicated to PSU, and honestly he has no film vs real competition so his portal value is far less until he gets that level of game tape. Even Kooper Ebel looked like an all-American vs our ooc schedule. Too bad Sowell has no more eligibility. Hopefully we see a healthy Sowell and healthy Howard on the field at the same time in the back half of our schedule.
Honestly, just a feeling, no insider info. I don't like how this is going with Howard.
Fair enough, I don't see any red flags here at all. I think this is likely just frustration with year one so the belief is the players want to bail.
When he was doubtful that was expected--I still don't understand why you think he's just being selfish and boycotting the season. You even admit it's "just a feeling"--it's not based on anything other than you think he should be playing
Both Sowell and Howard definitely out. Too bad we don’t get an early draft pick for having a terrible record in college football. We’re gonna lose this one too.
I've never seen such an injury riddled team. This is a joke at this point. You're supposed to get healthy off of a bye. Joe ran a marine style boot camp and we didn't have this ****.
Part of it has to do with an increasingly litiganous landscape. Medical teams have total control and things we got taped up for and played through are ruled out. Over many years of coaching empirical evidence proves losing teams produce more injuries.
Sowell was likely originated from dirty tackles in the usc and Um games, but for all the other injuries on the team, I would agree with you. It’s utterly ridiculous. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. There’s definitely something to it, and the Iowa State fans warned us about this after the coaching move.
All of these issues need to be addressed with Campbell after the season. Can't keep playing games with half the team in gym clothes.

This is big business. I'm sure everything is scrutinized. My first question would be what are the most common injuries? That could provide a clue to any adjustments needed by the strength and conditioning staff. Next you might analyze practice organization. It isn’t beyond the realm of possibilities that it's just a physical game and 2 years bad luck. I once had a year where not a single player missed a game or practice the entire season. The following year; I had depth and talent everywhere especially at running back. Key players went down like flies beginning with the very first game. Inexplicable.
