4. Changpeng “CZ” Zhao / Binance (pardoned October 21, 2025) — a business deal, not a donation
This one involves money flowing to the Trump family’s company rather than to a campaign. Trump pardoned the Binance founder after Zhao’s company worked extensively with the Trump family’s World Liberty Financial business, with World Liberty’s USD1 stablecoin used for a $2 billion investment made in Binance. The Wall Street Journal reported Binance launched a task force aimed at striking a deal with World Liberty after Trump won in hopes of easing its legal troubles; World Liberty denies any involvement with the pardon.
