That Chris Parson line is much worse than i rememberHere are our all time QB's and stats.
Obviously he is your friend. But he’s also the answer to this question. And it’s not his fault, it’s Croom’s.Yall wish you could be Henig... man stepped out there and beat Alabama in Bryant Denny. ... and he is rich.
Rutland was my answer too. That dude was absolutely terrible. If I’m not mistaken, he also started the Tulane game the next week.where we lost to a 4-8 C-USA team that was still displaced by Hurricane Katrina.Tray Rutland. Had 1 career start vs Auburn in 06
12-25 for 82 yards for 3.3 yards per attempt. 0 TDs and 1 pick. Lost 34 to 0
This was the year we moved Omarr to receiver and Henig got hurt in week 1 vs South Carolina. After Rutland's performance we moved Omarr back to QB until Henig got healthy again
…who started his career at non other than Notre Dame. LolEddie Hornbeck
Agreed and looking at the QB’s from the 70’s it may have been worse. That was my Dad’s generation of Bulldogs when he was in college. He loved when Jackie Sherril came in. It was the first good team he ever saw wear a bulldog uniform.Mike Davis would get my vote from that group.........I played against him in HS and couldn't believe a SEC team signed him.......Those were just some ****** teams we had under Rocky......Program was in shambles...........
Not challenging if AD scored is what haunts me. He was in.If Lee was six foot one we beat LSU. And not giving it to Boobie on the goal line. I still have nightmares.
Thanks for the check gameRutland was my answer too. That dude was absolutely terrible. If I’m not mistaken, he also started the Tulane game the next week.where we lost to a 4-8 C-USA team that was still displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
The whole end of that game is a summary of Mullen. Oh what could’ve been. Not challenging if AD scored is what haunts me. He was in.
Where did you play high school if you don't mind saying?Mike Davis would get my vote from that group.........I played against him in HS and couldn't believe a SEC team signed him.......Those were just some ****** teams we had under Rocky......Program was in shambles...........
I dont think he was the worst QB to play, but he definitely had the worst game as a QB.His name is Michael Henig.

Yes, he started that game. I was there. His stats for that game were 2-6 for 6 yards and -13 rushing yards. We were down 32-7 in the fourth quarter before Omarr, who Croom put in at quarterback, led us to a couple late touchdowns and we lost 32-29. That might have been the rock bottom of the Croom era.Rutland was my answer too. That dude was absolutely terrible. don't think he played. Todd Jordan ran the offense out of the shotgun.Polish Rifle may have started the bama game in 1996.
I was in a bar in Keystone CO watching the game occasionally but I was too busy chasing a snow bunny to really give a RAT’s ***
Todd Jordan - high school all american QB - we turned him into a punter...don't think he played. Todd Jordan ran the offense out of the shotgun.
very serviceable quarterback and ran the wishbone well. It's Tim Parenton. He was not the worst QB to ever step on the field, by far. Pretty good baseball player for Polkie too in the early 80's.
really? Was he that bad? Thought he was decent, but before my time.Hal Chealander from California JC.
I was there and the defenses dominated. John could have played but Emory didn't put him in and it cost us the game.As others have said, Tony Shell doesn't belong in this discussion. I think his first start was against a ranked Georgia team and he threw 4 touchdowns. We thought he was the answer.
If I recall correctly, Parenton started the USM game in Jackson where both teams were ranked and USM won something like 10-7. That was also the game where Bond was benched, which led to much speculation and rumors that I don't want to get into.
Interesting. I saw Rodney Hudson is the lowest ranked QB in school history. It seems like I remember him getting into some legal trouble at some point so I do some digging - I found this article from the Seattle Times about that Alabama game someone was talking about...https://archive.seattletimes.com/ar...an-to-start-at-qb-against-12th-ranked-alabama
ETA this dynamite quote from Bruce Arians - "He can't call but five plays," offensive coordinator Bruce Arians told the Clarion (Miss.) Ledger earlier this week. "We might try to get to double figures, but I doubt it."
Agreed. Tim should not be in this conversation.very serviceable quarterback and ran the wishbone well.
Tony Shell was actually one of the better passing QBs I've ever seen play for MSU. Doesn't belong anywhere near this list.Tony is still in the top 10 in all time passing yards and he only started for 2 years.
I remember this game. He threw 3 picks to the same guy.I remember Henig throwing 5 or 6 interceptions in a single HALF of football versus LSU.
No, the '96 Alabama game wasn't one with a squirrelly, unexpected backup QB. At least, not Polish Rifle-grade unexpected. Pretty sure that was a Derrick Taite team.Polish Rifle may have started the bama game in 1996.

Recency Bias*i mean...billy puckett has to be on the short list
Yep. And the reason he actually completed some passes in other games is because Croom kept playing him (when he wasn't getting hurt).I dont think he was the worst QB to play, but he definitely had the worst game as a QB.
Wesley carrol? He didn’t have the physical tools to be a good qb in the SEC but he sadly is still nowhere near our worst. Had a solid career at FAI after leaving state. The right answer. I’d also mention Mike Wright, Damien Williams, Kyle York, Wesley Carroll, and Tommy Stevens.
Too many names….
Billy Pucket is a RS Freshman. He shouldn't be getting playing time for an SEC team right now, but I'm not sure I'd put him in the worst discussion based on his current stats as a RS Freshman.i mean...billy puckett has to be on the short list
If you didn't see the Croom Error, you can't understand just how bad QB play was.
.......
Billy Puckett would run circles around what we were doing back then, especially if allowed to play more and grow up.
