Tevanyan wins the other semi. He matches up with Bo as well as anyone. Physically strong and probably has the best defense of anyone at the weight. He got a gift against Amouzad but only gave up 2 points against the reigning world champion. I think Bo wins but probably a tighter match

Snyder vs Baranowski up on mat B. Snyder holds a 3-0 career record over Baranowski

Snyder taking ground with big snaps

Baranowski on the clock. Snyder in deep and finishes on the edge. 2-0. Shot clock point. 3-0

Snyder in on a high c. Cuts to a double and runs him off for 1. 4-0

4-0 Snyder at the break

Snyder just handfighting and staying in the center. He’s not taking any chances being up 4-0

1:00 left. Snyder gets to a front head and pushes Baranowski out. 5-0

Barannowski takes Snyder to the edge but he circles in. Blown dead

That’s it. 5-0 for Snyder and we have our second finalist!

Yoshida beats Taz in the other semi so another match between Snyder and Yoshida. Taz and Yazdani into repechage where one of them won’t bring home a medal!

Snyder and Yoshida have split their previous matches 1-1 but Snyder won handily at worlds last year

How can anyone not appreciate Bo's style? He just doesn't stop coming at you. It's incredible to see him just outpace these guys into submission.
But he's on social media sometimes!

With Snyders 2 wins this year against Sadulaev I believe their career record against each other is now 3-3. Sadulaev seems to be slowing down though and Snyders looks better than ever. I hope we get to see at least a couple more matches between these 2 all time greats
We will. I think Sadulaev was slowed by the knee injury. But he's been looking phenomenal since 2023.

My only knock on the kid is that he puts himself in danger sometimes being overzealous. Gas tanks matter on the big stage and his is never empty.

That last match they were about as evenly matched as two competitors can be.

Are you serious? They absolutely already have and would do it again.

Rudis had a nice mini doc when NLWC traveled to Dagestan one time, hosted by Sadulaev. They're pretty good friends.
I remember watching that. They're both great competitors that definitely have alot of respect for each other. I'm thinking that Sadulaev has been at the NLWC in the past also.

Now that, I don't know. Russians, particularly Dagestanis don't really venture this way much, likely due to visa complications.

Bassett immediately in on a shot. He finishes and it’s 2-0

Magomedov in deep. Bassett defending well but gives up the Td on the edge. 2-2

Bassett in and to the edge. Step out Bo. 3-2

Bo in deep but Magomedov counters for 2 and then a whip over for 4. 8-3 Magomedov

Magomedov in deep and finishes. 10-3 at the break.

Bo gives up another Td on the edge. 12-3

Bo with a td and an exposure. 12-7 now

Challenge by Russia. I think it’s a lunger more than a challenge. Magomedov looks tired. Challenge lost. 12-8

Bo with another Td. 12-10 and looking for the fall! Magomedov rolls through and gets a reversal. 13-10

Bassett with a go behind and an exposure. 14-13 Bo!!!

:30 to go

Bo wins 14-13!! Holy ****!! What a match!!!
Thank for these pbp.
