This ucf team isn’t very good but we come out lackluster effort and zero sense of urgency to start the game. Imagine what this team is going to look like on the road in the SEC. Win or lose this game, a whole bunch of questions still remain……not seen a real alpha step up either.
Going to be a long season

It’s early. But I have a vote of zero confidence. Something isn’t right with this coaching staff
I can’t believe this thread! Popes 63 win percentage and average roster aren’t enough to get you excited for a big year and run? Negative Nancie’s!
You still have to play the team in front of you regardless of who they are. Even some of the best UK teams struggled against teams they shouldn’t have. It’s part of the game.
How about the lack of talent on this roster with all the resources we have at UK? Pope is done at UK after this season and rightfully deserves it after putting together another group of players that is less than mediocre…
This thread does not age well anybody with a brain. Can see pope trying different personel
One thing for sure that overtime may have gave us a glimpse of how dominant this team can be
Go pope go cats good grind out win

It's too early to say, but I don't see a lot of top tier talent on this roster.
It's another middling roster. Will win 21-23 games.
Ill stick to sweet 16 loss by double digits. Pope pumps his first and gets another year on contract.
Win nothing that matters. As usual.

This team is anything but dominant, did we watch the same game?
Mitch Barnharts contracts are the gift that keeps giving!
Death knell for the program. Pope comes back year 4, we lose another 10+ games, sink further into Indiana levels.
Well we already got a coach that makes tom crean look cool. That's hard. But we did it.
Mark Pope is a disaster. Mitch Barnhart owes millions of dollars in pain and suffering for the damages he caused.
If it gets pope fired let’s get through it
23 in the regular season would be a miracle.
Brother in Christ do you owe the Pope family a ransom? This is UCF. This game never should have went to OT.
The absolute worst scenario possible.
I believe the new AD has balls and would do the right thing n this scenario. Terminate him
We’ll win a couple marquee games we’re underdogs in, lose 2-3 we’re double digit favorites in and will probably get absolutely pounded 2-3 more times, likely on the road.
UK spinning in the mud, while our rivals are cruising down the interstate at 80mph.
We are averaging 7 double digit losses a season. Id expect at least another 5 to 7 this season.
Its not worth it with him. He will drive in circles about pointless stuff all day. Guys owns a round a bout and has unlimited gas. The ulitmate gaslight guy on the forum.
Batt probably making warm up phone calls as we speak.
I still can’t understand having Moreno be at the top of the key 75% of the time & he’s the one reading the defense on cuts, handoffs or back doors. I get he’s a good player but he’s our center and why can’t he set a screen on the block then post up?? Our best offense tonight was posting Milan up but he’s not always going to be bigger than the man guarding him. I just hoped to see some quickness and movement with a purpose on offense vs passing it around for 25 secs 30ft from the goal then spray and pray it goes in or a foul called.
Circle jerk of misery.
Again, I have no idea how the season will go and I’m less optimistic than I was before the exhibitions, but I’ll at least enjoy some games before deciding I need to grab my pitchfork and run to the streets. Can’t wait to see people get upset when we pull an upset or win a big game.

Absolutely correct. Other teams can have close exhibitions or even lose while experimenting and working different things, but if we don't win by 30 its time to waive the white flag
Shh, let them riff. They're on a predictable roll
Pope pulling a rabbit out of his hat or "fooling the fool" is running at .03 % on Polymarket.....
Wasn’t this already known? As soon as Mitchell went back to Missouri this season was done. We are just burning time until March when the change is made.
Little Rock should have never led by 3 at the half against the eventual 2012 championship team. It wasn’t even an early-season game. It was in January. It happens. What matters is how you respond. Blowing out teams early on really does nothing. UNLV proved this in the 90’s.
I’ve never seen so many f*cking delusional people on here, on Reddit, Twitter and Facebook. It’s like looking a mass extinction event straight in the eye and pretending everything is alright. I’m so sick of the culty Pope fans.
If that were to happen he should follow. That would be a disaster. Nobody would want to come here knowing they wouldn’t have ample opportunity. It’s a good thing some of you aren’t making these decisions.
Popes only hope and strategy is the Kenny Payne. Hope he can get three or four big time freshman and hope it buys him another year. It’s his only hope. This team looks no different than any other lower level SEC team. It looks like an Oklahoma team you’d watch on the SEC network. For 22 million and the UK name, we all deserve better. It’s gonna be bad when Will Wade puts BTA to Pope this year in his first year at LSU.
They trash.
Also didnt we hire pelphrey for "player development"...okay, then why is moreno a 7 footer bringing the ball down to his balls on a rebound. This is basic stuff
