I got them too. They need to send me a check along with it to consider going. As a winter sports ticket holder I received 2 tickets to the Michigan game. Must be pretty desperate.
We foolishly thought we’d were committed to improving. Instead, we’re just mooching the benefits with no commitment to actually competing.Remember when we thought big ten games would equal sell outs? Sad
RU and MD both got screwed by the B1G. They set us up to fail by giving us a fraction of the league money. Set off this domino of trying to do things on the cheap.
We are exactly where the B1G wants us. An easy conference game opponent for the blue bloods.Agreed. Both programs were borderline B1G programs as well. RU was 15-11 in the last two seasons of a conference that was a BCS Conference in name only while Maryland was 13-24 in their last 3 seasons in the ACC.
YupRemember when we thought big ten games would equal sell outs? Sad
Unfortunately you are right. We were given the golden wonka and turned it into piss waterWe foolishly thought we’d were committed to improving. Instead, we’re just mooching the benefits with no commitment to actually competing.
Can’t expect people to support a trash product year after year.
Blame it on something other than ourselves. No accountability. Add to that the disastrous president, AD, and coach hires we’ve had —-and that’s why we always suck.RU and MD both got screwed by the B1G. Seriously.Blame it on something other than ourselves. No accountability. That’s why we always suck
If we had money, we could’ve avoided Ash. No Ash, no GS 2.0. It’s a series of band-aids on a gunshot wound (Flood).Blame it on something other than ourselves. No accountability. Add to that the disastrous president, AD, and coach hires we’ve had —-and that’s why we always suck.
Seriously.
KC Keeler owns his results at Temple. Refreshing.
But Greg's litany of excuses is perfectly fine for some of you.Glad we didn’t hire him. I don’t need refreshing takes with the Ls.
So sad and depressing what Schiano has done to our program.Remember when we thought big ten games would equal sell outs? Sad
lets be clear no coach says they don’t have enough resources. He was responding to the internet. But Greg's litany of excuses is perfectly fine for some of you.
Let's be clear:lets be clear no coach says they don’t have enough resources. He was responding to the internet.
But are those wins from P4 wins or the G4 and below wins? We all agree that the latter doesn’t count.Let's be clear:
KC Keeler- 32 years of coaching:
28 seasons with a winning record
Record: 278-124-1 (0.690 winning percentage)
Your Guy-18 years of coaching
8 season with a winning record
Record: 101-112 (0.474 winning percentage)
Greg makes litany of reasons why he doesn't win
Yeah....I miss the days when Rutgers dominated Eastern college football, out-recruited everyone for New Jersey's elite high school prospects, and was a yearly member of the Top Twenty...if not the Top Ten and a major bowl game.So sad and depressing what Schiano has done to our program.n
When did that happen?Yeah....I miss the days when Rutgers dominated Eastern college football, out-recruited everyone for New Jersey's elite high school prospects, and was a yearly member of the Top Twenty...if not the Top Ten and a major bowl game.
Hopefully, when GS is gone and Rutgers is ready to select the next head football coach from what I'm sure will be an impressive list of applicants, the best one is selected and we get back to our winning ways. The world doesn't seem quite right when RU isn't dominating the college football world.
Based on where we were 2 years ago Rutgers Football has regressed significantly while the our B1G low tier opponents have all improved ( sans Maryland and they are “trying “ to fix that now). Guess you can’t see it.Yeah....I miss the days when Rutgers dominated Eastern college football, out-recruited everyone for New Jersey's elite high school prospects, and was a yearly member of the Top Twenty...if not the Top Ten and a major bowl game.

He has not coached at a level where his teams played P4 teams until he arrived at Temple last year, when he played 2 ranked P4 teams that were ranked at the end of the year. But are those wins from P4 wins or the G4 and below wins? We all agree that the latter doesn’t count.
Keeler played for a D-III national championship five times, and later won two FCS championships at two different schools, Delaware and Sam Houston State. And in 2022, when SHSU made the transition to BCS football, he won the WAC in their first season at that level. He's an outstanding coach with a long resume that says so. Rutgers could've hired him a long time ago and not have been held prisoner by Schiano again. He has not coached at a level where his teams played P4 teams until he arrived at Temple last year, when he played 2 ranked P4 teams that were ranked at the end of the year.
The point is his teams consistently beat teams ranked above his teams. In 2021, his SHSU Bearkat beat a #1 ranked JMU coached by Curt Cignetti.

How’s he doing at Temple?Keeler played for a D-III national championship five times, and later won two FCS championships at two different schools, Delaware and Sam Houston State. Good year last year, given they were coming off of three straight 3-9 seasons. This one has been disappointing, but again, half a season doesn't erase a long, outstanding resume. It's clearly an aberration. How’s he doing at Temple?
5-7 is a good year for that conference? For every CG, there are plenty of coaches that failed moving up a level.Good year last year, given they were coming off of three straight 3-9 seasons. I think you had to follow it. They had been getting crushed on the way to those 3-9 records, and last year, they were just a couple plays from being 7-5, with two one-point losses, including one to the No. 23 team.5-7 is a good year for that conference? Lance Leipold too. Other than one good year, he has bombed at Kansas.I think you had to follow it. They had been getting crushed on the way to those 3-9 records, and last year, they were just a couple plays from being 7-5, with two one-point losses, including one to the No. 23 team.
The only coaches who fail moving up a level are the one- and two-year wonders who got some desperate P4 team to bite after a hot year. The lifers with sustained success will always translate. Willie Fritz is a good current example.
Exactly which planet did your Rutgers team play on? I have never visited there.Yeah....I miss the days when Rutgers dominated Eastern college football, out-recruited everyone for New Jersey's elite high school prospects, and was a yearly member of the Top Twenty...if not the Top Ten and a major bowl game.
