Napier or Chadwell? Give me a break. Napier already failed at Florida. Sun Belt is his level. And Chadwell has such a huge financial advantage at Liberty that there is no excuse for him to ever not win Conference USA. Not a great comparison to how he would do at a school that is near the bottom of the conference in finances.

Diaz would probably do a good job. He's good on defense. However, he's left us twice as DC for better, or higher paying, jobs, so there is that. That's something to consider.

Know nothing about Dickert.

Chadwell has been mentioned before but I know nothing about him.

Napier is a big No.

Publix sux. Tarjay is no better. We should be proactive and declare her tastes alone prevent an offer extended to her hubby.
What's wrong with Publix? That's where we do virtually all our grocery shopping.

Rarely go to Target because all the local stores are several miles and a bunch of traffic away.

If Dickert wants our job, then you fire heavy Lebby today. You then make sure KT knows he can name his price, and that we wanted to get him a real coach.
It's strange that the two very expensive private, highly academic, universities in the ACC are doing quite well. Does that say good things about them or bad things about the ACC?

I would take Publix over Kroger anytime.
Im dying here. Publix, kroger, food lion. Its like a choice of how ****** do i want my grocery shopping to be.

HEB needs to figure out how to expand 800 miles east and they would rule this wasteland.

Who cares? If Dickert wants our job, then give it to him. He is a much better coach than Heavy Lebby.

Coaches I think we could get in order of preference

1. Jake Dickert, Wake Forest
2. Rhett Lashlee, SMU
3. Manny Diaz, Duke
4. Jason Eck, New Mexico
5. Jason Candle, Connecticut
6. Charles Huff, Memphis
7. Glenn Schumman, Georgia defensive coordinator
Gotta add Brent Vigen to the list.

What is this fascination with bringing back people that chose not to be here (twice already in Diaz's case)? What's Sylvester Croom doing these days? Why not give ol Sly a shot at redemption? Hell, he probably couldn't do worse than he did the first go around or what we're getting from Lebby.
*****Before any of you smartasses answer, the Croom questions are rhetorical..Kinda.

That is the Mississippi State way. The fascination with anyone connected to this historically putrid program is baffling.

Bo never thought it would come to Lebby last time.
The amount of knowledge of Mississippi State trivia that olemiss lurkers possess and can ceaselessly contribute to these threads is amazing to me. Keep up the good work.

I know, I know, "we aren't your real rival" (trademark pending)

Bo doesn't have any more of an idea about whether or not Jake Dickert or Manny Diaz would take the MSU job than anyone else on this board does. He's a fanboy with a microphone.
Says the thoroughly-up-to-date-on-the-State-coaching-situation olemiss fan*

*no offense

The people who always say why would he come here? Like bro, he would come here because he would go from making 900,000/yr to 4/million/yr. What do you mean “wait it out for a better job” You think it makes sense to wait it out 3 years and lose out on all that money . I mean come on , use your brain. Think about it.

I see this posted but what’s a bigger job than us? We will pay around 7MM have a close to 40MM NIL, we are one of 16 SEC jobs.
Nc state probably leaning toward rivers
Baylor Taylor probably
Maryland Huff.
we coukd possibly hire Dickert Diaz Eck it’s not a forgone conclusion that we couldn’t
Isn't $40 million NIL almost a 50% increase in what we spent this year, 27M to 40M?

Joe Judge

2 years on Lane Kiffin's staff. 3 years on Saban's staff at Bama. His 2-year NY Giants stint is the only mar on his record. As I recall, Saban didn't fare well in the NFL either.

Added bonus of taking him away from Ole Miss.

Ive got as much inside intel on the MSU coaching situation as Bo does on the thoughts of the Wake Forest coach.
Sure thing. But even if your comment were true, one of you is an MSU alumnus and ESPN radio personality, paid to be commenting on the situation. One is posting here on a Mississippi State message board as a self-proclaimed fan of a rival school.

Surely you can see the difference, and why I for one think anything you say on the matter is suspect, and why I also think that any fan of Mississippi State who thinks an opinion from an olemiss perspective needs to be heard here or somehow means more than Bo's opinion needs to have their head examined. No offense**

Bo Bounds is an older version of Michael Borkey......probably his daddy....
I’ve always gotten the notion Bo would rather be in the grove than the junction. Sports should NEVER get to the point where it’s for the richest of the rich. **** that guy. I had the radio on his show this morning and he had some lady on there talking margaritas. What the **** man?

Need to find an older guy who has been a successful head coach for a long time.
I think you can find more value and more success in a younger hungrier coach than an older. While Fritz and cig are both outliers its my thoughts that they spent so much time in the lower g6 and FCS programs that getting to P4 has renewed their hunger. I don’t want a Whittingham who could be one and done at Michigan. I wouldn’t want a Jimbo or Kelly whose had millions in the bank and fired at program with resources.. Traylor would be about the only guy that would fit your description but I feel like he’s headed to Baylor or TCU.

He needs to go be a coach somewhere and show that he can manage a roster/ staff. He likely has a lot of promise but the longer he stays where he is, it looks more like lack of drive.
