Just like recruiting. Money helps.
Just like recruiting. Money helps.
No one was beating Michigan either. That team was loaded. Yaxel is already at GS and pretty much their primary scorer 4 games in and lighting their world on fire. Mara getting good minutes for the best team in the NBA and Johnson was drafted the earliest of the 3, by his own college head coach.Yeah and he did help them get there. He is a good player. They took off when he got healthy. He was a better take than Jasper, the player many say we got instead. Like it was a good choice.
No but we got the worst of the two thats for sureSome of yall have the emotional intelligence of a toddler. Kentucky wasn’t taking both Uvwo and Cherif.
Based on your in-depth scouting report or by the recruiting rankings that are infallible? No but we got the worst of the two thats for sure
We’re taking the 7’5” project with a history of a torn ACL (please ignore that he’s visiting BYU).No but we got the worst of the two thats for sure
Based on the recruiting experts that think uvwo is the undisputed number one center in the classBased on your in-depth scouting report or by the recruiting rankings that are infallible?
There’s nothing to be happy about unless it’s about football.Y’all are a miserable bunch.
Bingo, we have a winner. We have a dud coach and weirdo coach that kids do not want to play for. They get their $ and this is why they come to UK. New assts maybe get them there. Program is major cringe worthy. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is struggling this hard at recruiting high school and the transfer portal quite like Kentucky. Not Kansas, not Duke or UConn or any of the typical teams that have routinely been at the top of the recruiting world. It’s specifically Kentucky. Why has “college basketball changed” when only one team appears to be struggling compared to a few seasons ago?
I mentioned UNC, because I’ve seen their fans complain about their own struggles, but that might be changing in the coming days.
Haha must suck being sad over a 18 year old. There’s nothing to be happy about unless it’s about football.
We’re on a forum talking about a team full of 18 to 22-year-old players. Why the f*ck are you even on here?Haha must suck being sad over a 18 year old.
You can't blame Pope for not getting a top ten high school recruit in 3 years. We are just little ole UK without money or prestige...The state of college basketball is nothing but a joke and you‘re right, so many losers on this board that blame it all on Pope. This kid was supposedly going to Baylor and instead picks elsewhere, that’s just funny.
Oh, AnonxxxxxOhioSt.footballfan is a basketball savant.Based on your in-depth scouting report or by the recruiting rankings that are infallible?
They were amazingNo one was beating Michigan either. That team was loaded. Yaxel is already at GS and pretty much their primary scorer 4 games in and lighting their world on fire. Mara getting good minutes for the best team in the NBA and Johnson was drafted the earliest of the 3, by his own college head coach.
We didn’t even start recruiting Cherif until it was evident Uvwo was not coming. Some of yall have the emotional intelligence of a toddler. Kentucky wasn’t taking both Uvwo and Cherif.
I’m not sad about 1 kid choosing money over Kentucky. Plenty more. We’re on a forum talking about a team full of 18 to 22-year-old players. Why the f*ck are you even on here?
It’s funny how he always ends up recruiting players with a history of injuries. Like having a torn ACL isn’t a red flag.We didn’t even start recruiting Cherif until it was evident Uvwo was not coming.
“Plenty more,” when Pope is like 0-50 on 5-star recruits since he’s been here. Really looking forward to Shagari Alleyne 2.0 with a history of injuries. And that’s assuming BYU doesn’t locker Pope’s a**.I’m not sad about 1 kid choosing money over Kentucky. Plenty more.
To Pope they are built in excuses. If they play he’s a genius for taking them. If they don’t play then the nut huggers say it wasn’t his fault and he needs another year to rebuild. It’s funny how he always ends up recruiting players with a history of injuries. Like having a torn ACL isn’t a red flag.
I think it could go down as the best frontcourt in college hoops history, or in the modern era across the 3-5. I can't think of many better. The 2012 team with Davis, MKG and Jones was good, but I'm sorry, Davis wasn't a 7'3 junior. Yaxel would have smoked those kids as a senior. Not sure if anyone has seen any film on the guy, but he's been elite. They were amazing
Want some cheese with that whine? How bout we wait till the roster is set before the crying begins about roster failuresplayer drama is better than losing 13 games a season drama. i'd gladly take all player drama if it raised out talent profile.
more recruiting failures that are now so common place.....folks are convinced missing out on top 25 guys are a good thing.
We have had 50 spots in 2 years. That’s a new one to me.“Plenty more,” when Pope is like 0-50 on 5-star recruits since he’s been here. Really looking forward to Shagari Alleyne 2.0 with a history of injuries. And that’s assuming BYU doesn’t locker Pope’s a**.
If you only recruit players with zero injuries there isn’t many to choose from. It’s funny how he always ends up recruiting players with a history of injuries. Like having a torn ACL isn’t a red flag.
How many of them have had torn ACLs at 7’5”?If you only recruit players with zero injuries there isn’t many to choose from.
You’re going to stretch that Sweet 16 out to feed every starving family in Africa. We could end up at the NIT and you’ll remind every one of that time Pope “made it to the Sweet 16!”Pope Syndrome....Pope sucks at recruiting
Rational people....Sweet 16 was a good first year
Pope Syndrome....Pope is a terrible coach, we have too much talent to lose in the Sweet 16
Cycle, rinse, repeat
This is what you have now to throw around. Yea, it’s time you just stop.Haha must suck being sad over a 18 year old.
Where are they getting all their money?Providence stole him. Nice.
Struggled to beat it without several of their top playersQuite literally F off I’m so tired of you losers
Say whatever you want about recruiting but our team is just as good as ANY other team in America right now because you have no clue what their potential is. Second game of the year and they beat a damn good Texas tech. So just shut the hell up because you and your expert friends had multiple teams ranked top 15 that went on to lose to lower ranked teams.
your a lazy, stupid and weak minded individual
Gillispie’s players were tantamount in getting us a Final Four and a title the next year. None of Pope’s guys will probably even be at Kentucky next season. This is what you have now to throw around. Yea, it’s time you just stop.
UK is too big for Mark Pope. It’s obvious and it’s not worth arguing the facts destroy any argument you throw. That’s why you now throw “u mad over a game brah”. What a crock of ****.
Popenis butchering UK, he is becoming the worst coach I’ve ever seen on that sideline. Only argument is Gillispie, and Gillispie was a better developer and recruiter. It’s sad.
Why is that?We been off him since his visit basically.
