Wouldn't surprise me - kid is a self promoter, his allegiance has moved with the biggest bidder/stage. Last the 247 fellas stated, he wants to be the playmaker, ball in hands when it matters. It Malone gets him, I'm guessing it's his one big splash. Would then expect Black/Rosser package deal to the squid and Daughtry landing with one of the Florida schools.
If golden stays around I could see Florida. Just don’t see golden staying especially if everyone leaves.
We'll see - if Colton Hiller lands there and he gets Daughtry, is able to get either Condon/Chinyelu back, plus the other freshmen big they signed, could be a sign he's there for a few more. A lineup of Fland, Daughtry, Hiller, Condon and Chinyelu/freshmen could be solid.
Kerr just signed a two year deal. I'm guessing him, Curry and Draymond are done after that. If Golden makes the move to GSW, it's then or he's at UF longer term.
Agreed. I doubt condon and chinyelu come back. I think the 3 bigs are tied to each other. Heard several Florida media/announcers say they already were gone until that Iowa loss.
We'll see - they're not all going in the first round. If Golden is willing to throw a big NIL deal at one of them, it's better than a second round contract. Would only make sense Golden ends up at Golden State.
Oh I agree just not sure Florida has the money to pay 2 of them plus Fland, daughtry and anyone else. Might be the whole budget right there. Chinyelu should stay and make all he can. He won’t last in nba. He don’t worry me anyway. Haugh is the key to everything they do. He’s a mismatch nightmare and plays like a 2 star trying to earn his way still. Don’t find those guys very often.

I'm with you on Chinyelu, Condon seems like the much more NBA functional player. If I'm Golden, I like Chinyelu walk, try to keep Condon for another year. They have a Chinyelu like freshman coming in. Hiller, Daughtry and Fland along those two would be a great team. Otherwise Daughtry goes to Miami to slip in for Lewis, who could leave.
Condon is def a good college player and perfect for the modern play style. Idk where Lewis would go. He’s not an nba player really. I still think hiller ends up at Duke with asa and Boumtje.

I agree with you on Hiller. Why? I don't know. He'll be sitting in a cafeteria line of players looking for PT. He's 6'6", so he's playing big SG or SF, where they'll have any of the current 4 guards back, plus Howard, Montgomery, the new Aussie, and Knueppel's little bro.
This is consistent with everything I've read for a while now. I was kind of surprised UK was on the final list, but then again I thought if you're trying to get the price up as high as possible UK is one to at least feign interest in.
Not happening. Henry isn't going anywhere with Black. Rosser and Black to UNC a possibility. They'll end up together at Ark or UNC.
UNC is the heavy favorite with Rosser. No reason to believe Black and Rosser are some sort of package deal.

It’s a good thing I guess since we can’t seem to land any of them. Wasting money to recruit players that everyone and their brother knows will not play for him. It’s not about relationships since he’s a strange guy now that will never change.
I think the only way UNC misses on Rosser is if we run out of NIL money. Like if we just blow the whole load on Henry.

The only reason anyone even started talking about a Rosser/Black package deal was bc Rosser was recruiting Black to UNC. All the Intel after Black's official visit to UNC was TERRIBLE. The recruiting sites didn't even bother posting the pics of him doing the UNC jersey photoshop. The intel was like "not getting him, moving on."
Yet you yourself have talked about the potential of Rosser/Black teaming up at UNC... after Black had all but eliminated UNC weeks ago. That speaks to the effort of Rosser to get Black to reconsider UNC, which was something Mike Malone asked him to do.
We'll see who Henry picks Friday. If it's UNC, it eliminates Black. But UNC is going full court press on Rosser no matter what.
That’s well put. Everyone will say pope whiffed on Rosser but Rosser is a local kid and has been a UNC lean forever. He likes Kentucky and pope but the big time stuff he isn’t the fondest of. He’s a quiet reserved kid and likes being around home as well. From all accounts a real good kid too. Hope he does well wherever he goes.
Not getting the top recruits wouldn't bother me so much if we could only get the elite portal guys, but we are not. MM is a great pick up and I'll give it up to Pope for getting him but all the others are mediocre players IMO. That super backcourt that we were suppose to have this year looks very disappointing so far, but then again they were ranked in the in the 30-40 range (in the portal). Luckily Willams is playing well. We need Pope to be great at either recruiting High Schoolers or getting the top portal guys. I'm tired of being the school being used to drive up the price for players. We need to start landing some of the best of the best.
The portal rankings aren’t always the best judge of talent and how those players fit into the system and team. Just look at popes first team. Brea was like 87 in portal. Lamont and Oweh were both around 30 and Amari was low too. Garrison was the highest rated and he was not good. This year has some big names but like Bidunga at 1 is comical. Same with pj Haggerty every year he enters. He’s an empty stat guy that wins nothing.

There's a ton of smoke on Henry to UNC now. If you're Malone, do you want your big fish to be a 4 or an on ball 3 that can create? I doubt they get both.
Rosser is pretty laid back dude it seems. And he definitely has stayed out of the drama for the most part. I’d imagine he just has a date in mind and will commit on that day. Also will wait and make sure he gets what money whoever is around him wants.

Page was just another target out of the 15 or so 5 stars Malone has offered. It was reported UNC refused to match UConn's NIL offer. So that was that.
I never once said Rosser to UNC was a done deal. I said we're the favorite bc he's local kid, his family wants him here, and he's our top target.
This still all comes down to money. Why is there so much smoke about Henry to UNC? It's not because he was born in Charlotte, or because he brought a dozen family members on his UNC visit, or because of a short phone call he had with MJ. It's because UNC reportedly put out a NIL offer that "dwarfed Arkansas' offer."
And Rosser's decision will come to money too, just like I said in my earlier post. The only way UNC misses on Rosser is if we blew our wad on Henry and can't afford Rosser too. If some Arkansas billionaire booster drops a bag we cant beat, then he isn't turning down that money.

The NIL angle still doesn't really explain how UK, with it's brinks of $$, cannot land any top HS kids if just about the NIL.
This is what David Sisk had to say regarding Henry. Sisk used to do intel for both the UNC and UK Rivals boards. Now he's on the 247sports UNC board.

Word is Arkansas 3mm, UNC 5mm and UK 6mm for Henry. You'd have to think if Malone is unloading on Henry, it's because he wasn't feeling great about Rosser. It's highly unlikely those two would come in to play next to each other.

From a UNC video pod - would need to go pull, two UNC guys, "insiders". You're probably familiar. Didn't see it until after your post. Yeah, 5 to 3mm would definitely be dwarfing - that's significant. It's amazing how transparent Henry's recruitment has been, all obviously intentional by his camp. In some ways, kind of refreshing given how sealed shut these recruitments have been.
It's not that I don't know, it's that this info is being released rapidly now as his announcement approaches. It's all conjecture until you have actual information.
This then aligns with the tiering structure recently released by CBS, and some of the info released by on3. Cal is either playing with a smaller pot of $$, or he's saving what he does have for someone else. Similarly, Malone allocating it to the guy he wants/thinks he can get. I don't think he loses much fan equity getting Henry over Rosser. Henry seems the kid picking up more steam in terms of upside, and also a local kid.
Henry to Cal has been the consensus for a long time now, and that any activity by Henry was to get Cal to match it. So we'll see how Henry rolls - if he's just a $$ guy, he goes UK. Henry's stepdad is Pacman Jones.
Idk where you see that Kentucky has offered a million over anyone else but I find that hard to believe. Sounds like agents playing the game again like they do with a lot of recruits.
