With the opening of Weathers Creek high in 2027 I read where South Iredell and Lake Norman are requesting classification change. South possibly going to 5A and Lake Norman 6A. Not sure if that happens or they possibly could split the conference to 5A,6A,7A. Also stated that if South Iredell goes 5A it’s possible they could be in the SPC conference with teams like JM Robinson, West Rowan etc. Also South could lose up to 600 students to Weathers Creek. Not sure what will happen at this point.

Man that would be a ton of traveling for SI if they joined the SPC!
There was also mentioned that some Lake Norman students could shuffle to South Iredell. What I’m thinking is South Iredell could be 6A like Lake Norman. Only change would be there would be less 7A schools. Mooresville, Davie would be 7A and Lake Norman, South Iredell, Statesville, North Iredell would be 6A. And possibly Weathers Creek 6A. But at this point who knows how all this will turn out.
I doubt they'll create new conferences until full realignment but Iredell could have their own conference
North Iredell 6A
Statesville 5A
Lake Norman 6A
South Iredell 5A or 6A
Weathers Creek 5A
Could stick a couple of schools from the Western Foothills here to make that not such a large conference.
Mooresville would have to go somewhere and Davie could go back to the CPC. Mooresville maybe to the Meck 6 or they could shuffle that and the GMAC up.

All I know is they just don’t have the talent like Lake Norman and Mooresville. Also transfers makes a difference. Take for example Mooresville picked up a really good 6’10 player in basketball and also I heard if true that Mooresville got a 6’9 player that transferred from North Iredell. Also Mooresville QB transferred from another school. Rich gets richer.
Imagine if Greensboro Day School wasn't in the heart of Page's district, all this time.
Kansas and UNC offered 2029 C/PF 6'10 Grant Duggins would be at Page with his older brother, 2027 6'8 Mason Duggins, who plays basketball and OT on Page's OL.
6A isn't no cakewalk. They have 24 seniors. Takes more than a QB.

Lake Norman losing some of their students to the new School Weather Creek probably want hurt their football program at all. Lake Norman could dominate if they go 6A or 5A.With all that growth in Mooresville Lake Norman could possibly work their way back up to 7A.
As for South Iredell the good athletes that live in the area of HWY 70 in Statesville going toward Rowan County and Ostwalt Amity
Road and the Shinnville area will be going to Weathers Creek.That could hurt South Iredell, but Troutman is growing.

Looks like they also have 24 JRs and an undefeated JV team. 6a is a huge drop off from 7a. Grimsley and Weddington alone are enough to want to drop.
Probably a big reason Page is always looking for a new bball coach haha.
