Lebby said in the press conference that this is the first time Swann has been healthy since he has been here. I guess that that explains some of why Puckett has been playing. Maybe we see him in the tx game some now.

Convenient.
Yeah. Swann's not mentioned on any injury availability report and now suddenly after it's become painfully obvious to everyone that Puckett just ain't it, suddenly he's been injured. Heck, even if we take the current story at face value, we somehow managed to get a QB (who is supposed to be protected in practice) hurt in practice twice before we even got to opening day. That's not supposed to happen.

He was not listed as the backup and hasn't participated in games, so there was no requirement to list him as injured. He got stepped on an injured his ankle in the spring and was stepped on again in fall, which aggravated the ankle injury. I guess it's a dang good thing we don't go under center. All of our QB's would have been stepped on by our huge O-line and we'd be down to playing 'ol what's his name that doesn't even dress out.

Been hearing for quite a while that he’s been injured all fall well before he revealed that yesterday but he hasn’t been listed on availability reports but he’s also third string. Don’t know if they have to be listed anyway.

He's been listed as co-#2 with Puckett on every depth chart.

How worthless is Rashada? What was the expectation for that guy and is he getting much NIL?
No public disclosure, but est. NIL valuation range roughly between $630,000 and $985,000 per the googles.

Does any university on the planet have a lower ROI at the QB position?

Rashada may be the biggest bust in NIL history. Florida made the right decision reneging on his big NIL deal. Then he went to Arizona State, where he sucked, and now can't even get third string here. It is amazing how some "can't miss" high school prospects miss so badly.

Very worthless, Zero expectations and no NIL. Worth taking a chance on. But he's the biggest NIL bust out of high school so far.

He had a year at Georgia too. And was originally committed to Miami. So that's 6 schools in 4 years for him.

I believe him when he says Swann has been hurt. But Heavy Lebby needs to get off of this coachspeak BS, not sure if he learned that during the Baylor scandal or what. I mean he said a few weeks ago that Puckett just beat out everybody else. He's so damn fearful he will say the wrong thing, he literally gives us nothing at all and it's backfiring a little bit. He makes Jackie and Danny look like gossip queens.

Swann wasn’t banged up so bad he couldn’t play Saturday. He didn’t get miraculously cured from so bad he can’t go to Saturday to “he’s as heathy as he has ever been” Monday press conference. Lebby is playing make believe trying to justify why he didn’t play Swann the past two weeks, period

Lebby sure does know to recruit qbs that have injuries issues. Does he go to the list and just look at who is injured?

Then why would Robbie Faulk (and others) go on record as saying Puckett “won the backup job” without mentioning an injury to a competitor?

Yeah. The party line everyone was toting was the Puckett "won the job." Now that everyone sees just how bad he is, suddenly Swann has been injured the whole time. I'm not buying it.

Why would Lenny start a lesser QB? He's dumb but he's not that dumb.

It's a combo of Swann being banged up and Puckett also probably looking better in practice than he does games. Reminds me of a Will Rogers, very cerebral, which is impressive to coaches, but maybe doesn't have that 'gamer' gear.

Because Puckett won the job. Everyone said so. I think you’re 2nd paragraph is probably about right.

At least Swann does have some starting experience in the SEC. He started 15 games for Vanderbilt over two seasons, and started seven games for Appalachian State last season. I can't imagine that a former walk-on from Jackson Prep would beat him out, unless he was actually injured and not able to adequately compete for the backup job.

The problem is that we are not running a Leach offense or anything remotely close to it, so the fact that Puckett is even an option at QB is inexcusable. Lebby said himself that the OL played a "pretty clean" game, and yet this is the passing breakdown from Saturday. Does this look like the QB numbers needed for running an explosive play offense?

I don't know what the truth is about Swann, but I know that we apparently came into the season with a minimum of 3 out of 5 QBs that cannot run this offense, so be careful about assuming how dumb or not dumb our head coach actually is
