Would've gotten a little bit less and gotten to work with somebody who is KNOWN for QB development.Stay here to be a backup? Naw.
.as the other poster said hes probably better off n a mid major conference.
Yep. Minchey almost certainly will not be in the NFL, but what he has done for us at the college level has been exactly what we needed. Steady play, timely clutch moments, leadership.I don't think Minghey will play in the NFL and he's not a superstar, but he is pretty damn efficient and he doesn't throw interceptions. He's stein's game manager who executes steins offense and this isn't a knock. So many good things have lined up this year for us. A defense that will bend but not break and win the turnovers. And our quarterback not shooting himself in the foot ever is one of those good things.
He certainly looked good when he was leading ASU to its best season in decades and the playoffs year before last. We've seen this year especiallly how important coaching is, to get the best out of the players. ASU coach just might not be that good. If the player fails, is that on the player or the coach or some combination? Saying "no comment" shows the coach is not smart enough to say anything regarding the sitution. It's a copout.
Exactly. Dillingham is stud of a young coach, who ironically has been on a similar path to Stein in his young career. He certainly looked good when he was leading ASU to its best season in decades and the playoffs year before last.
And I think “no comment” absolutely is the best way to answer a question about how an unhappy QB is handling being benched. First, because the coach is a no position to speak for how the player feels, only the player truly knows that, so it’s a BS question. And if the coach tells the truth, he looks like he’s throwing the player under the bus.
There’s no real “good” way to answer that question. It’s a baiting question, and he was wise not to take the bait.
Cutter's been a G6 killer this year. Outside of that? Not so much.Boley has 13 TD passes and 5 Int. Almost at the "magical" 3-1 ratio. I honestly do not see how he was doing that badly. Dillingham had better hope that his 2nd stringer can be better......

Have you even watched any of ASUs games? He is not good. Was thinking maybe he’d come back here as a backup next year, but if he has attitude issues…..no thanks!Boley has 13 TD passes and 5 Int. Almost at the "magical" 3-1 ratio. I honestly do not see how he was doing that badly. Dillingham had better hope that his 2nd stringer can be better......
Jalen Hurts was demoted at Alabama for Tua. A more NLF QB. Hurts went to work and is a better NFL QB. Don’t give up on Minchey just yet. His speed might be the Nail in the coffin but…Yep. Woof. Should've stayed here.
People were lamenting the loss of Boley like Curtis Pulley.
That’s a bit misleading. Six of those TDs came in just one game, a 70-7 thrashing of hbcu bottom feeder Morgan State. He was awful in their games against legit competition.
And the other issue is that a few of his INTs have been really bad inexcusable throws. For example:
I think a coach could say, “He is taking it hard like any competitor would. Life is not always perfect but those tough moments provide opportunities for us to learn and get better. I am confident he will do both and will be ready when we need him.”He certainly looked good when he was leading ASU to its best season in decades and the playoffs year before last.

He throws pick 6’s to the other team when he throws one. He makes bad decisions. We have seen it here. His stats were from the gimme games.Boley has 13 TD passes and 5 Int. Almost at the "magical" 3-1 ratio. I honestly do not see how he was doing that badly. Dillingham had better hope that his 2nd stringer can be better......

Minchey is solid, I wouldn’t bet against him. He looks like a quality QB to me. I’m no football scout though. Probably the arm strength and physical traits that will keep him out.Jalen Hurts was demoted at Alabama for Tua. A more NLF QB. Hurts went to work and is a better NFL QB. Don’t give up on Minchey just yet. His speed might be the Nail in the coffin but…
That's probably the case sadly. Cutter didn't want to stay here and develop as a solid backup and now he's benched at ASU. I can't imagine he's happy at all.I think a coach could say, “He is taking it hard like any competitor would. Life is not always perfect but those tough moments provide opportunities for us to learn and get better. I am confident he will do both and will be ready when we need him.”
“No comment” screams Cutter is being a baby and not a team player. That is how I read “no comment.”
Oh no doubt. But Cutter probably had the option to stay here and develop as a solid back up.Nah.
Give me Minchey all day every day for the decision making and quick release alone.
