I haven't read every thread on here but I didn't see one with this in it. I heard this several times from media today, so I'm assuming it's accurate -

With Saturday's win over UT, Shane Beamer now has more wins over ranked teams than the coaching prodigy himself, Lane Kiffin.

I'm sure heads are exploding right about now.

No.....

Beamer has more road wins against top 25 competition than does Kiffin in that specific category. Road wins against ranked teams.

It's not all time, all teams, everywhere. But either way, it's a pretty good measuring stick I suppose.

Edited to add: That's from the AI googler. Sometimes it's not accurate.

That doesn't make sense since this was a home game. Just reporting what they were saying on air.

Lane Kiffin holds an all-time record of 13–26 (.333) against AP Top 25 ranked opponents across his career stops at Tennessee, USC, Florida Atlantic,Ole Miss, and LSU
Shane Beamer has compiled 9 wins over AP-ranked opponents through 70 games as head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks

Doesn't matter. If Kiffen was at USC, we'd still have the same bitching from fans.

At least with Beamer, we have someone who wants to be here. 😁

"Steve Spurrier and Shane Beamer are the only USC coaches to beat ranked Florida and Tennessee teams in the same season. Beamer is the only coach to do it when each were in the Top 20."

And the very best candidates are ready to jump at the chance to leave their already successful positions in order to coach at South Carolina, a risky proposition at best.

Yeah, thats why we wont be picking from a pool of succesful SEC head coaches.

We would be picking from smaller conference HC's, or coordinators from P4 schools.

Brace yourself for disappointment. I think we get at least 7 wins now, and that will make Beamer safe for at least two more years. If we beat Clemson, he might get an extension and a raise.

Oh yeah, the UT pretty much guarantees 6 wins. He will be safe for a couple more years and we have to hope the new AD doesnt make the same bone headed mistake with bouyoits that the last guy did.

And I'm still in for the new coach thing.
Why don't you explain to us why you are?

Please be very detailed in your analysis and consider the entire body of work and compare it to what we've had previously.

Also please outline the financial commitment and how the $50mil flip would be in the AD's best interest.

Then give us the "many, many" candidate list that you've compiled.

Otherwise, you're just trolling.....again.
