Yeah I want em to stay in it too... just sprinkle in a lil pass here and there..

Belmont Middle is on a tear in this championship run as well.

Kinda like what you said.. so basically SP wins with less talent... and maybe better coached up.. id say for sure SP wins more games vs better teams ( athlete vs athlete) than they should.

I can't imagine SP in a spread offense lol.
Probably be a .500 team every year.
At the risk of being found out.

I understand the nostalgia with that offense. And it is effective a lot. I’m not being funny this time. But I get it. If they could isss out of it that’d be fantastic. I’m not talking about the passing they pull out when they trick you or they get in a position where they must pass.

I’m not trying to piss you all off ( this time). But if we get you 14 down. 90 percent of the time Sp is done. Our last game. SP took most of the 3rd quarter on one drive and failed to score then we did and no passing meant SP was done. They killed themselves in two ways. They lost all that clock and can’t pass.

I freely admit it works the other way a lot.

Lastly, Belmont is a nice place. In large part it is actually beautiful. Especially right around that school. People would like to be there. People who have kids that can play football.

If you’re not a fullback a running QB or a WB. Then you’ll end up at SC or somewhere else.

Well you missed the two most important things to SPs success since the late 60s: Defense and OL.
Yes- the powers that be control the narrative of what's important and offense has been pushed for a long time but those of us who know.....know.
Your attempts at trying to make SC relevant don't upset anybody in Belmont (where the SP kids attend). Also nobody chooses to play against Cherryville to prove their worth on a football field. If a kid is supposed to go to SC - I applaud them and wish them well. No sane family or kid would ever willingly go to SC over SP for the purposes of playing football....unless they just knew they wouldn't cut it at SP. Keep your recruiting instigations over in CC where you all fight over the decisions of 14 and 15 year olds.

Ok then.

But ill post where I want and what I want. At the end of the day. There ain’t 💩you can do about it. Believe it!

Stuart Cramer has all it needs to be successful. I believe they will be. And what I said was no kid moving there that plays a skill position will choose SP. EVER!

Why would they?

Tradition, coaching, consistent winning, non-transient community, hetero school colors, learning how to play properly, playing in front of more than 200 people (home or away), having a student section cheer for you, and playing against higher/tougher competition in scrimmages, non conf. games, conf. games & playoffs games... etc, etc.

You don't pass the ball. I don't question any of the things you said. But no WR or passing QB will ever go there if given a choice.

hetero school colors.................... LOL............. That was nice... I can't lie. I feel like they should have been the SC Musketeer's. They could have their mascot swing into the stadium on a chandelier...

Woah woah woah Rulz…agreeing with Deboer about the colors and the mascot. I have given nothing but love to the Crest Chargers because they are the “gold” standard for high school football around this area right now. However, don’t kid yourself that you have good looking colors or uniforms. That green and yellow is hideous. I played little league baseball back in the day for a team that was sponsored by Ferguson Box, and our uniforms were green and yellow and they were flat out disgusting. So just because you guys have the best program right now doesn’t mean you have the best looking uniforms or best mascot (even if your radio/youtube show has a cool name that has to do with your mascot…very cool name by the way). Green and yellow was flat out awful when I was 12 playing little league and it is flat out awful today, even if you try and fancy it up by calling it Kelly Green and Vegas Gold.

purple is my favorite color bro.

I don't think we have the best looking unis either and at this point we may not have the best team. . I just like the idea of the chandelier. LOL

Changing gears for a second. Hunter Huss has athletes galore. The Huskies actually have size, speed, and athleticism. They definitely look the part and have some good players. Those guys should be winning and playing better football than their results are showing. I don’t understand why losing the way they do is so accepted at Huss. The Huskies actually have some history that show they can win with the right coaching staff and a little resource investment in place.

I hear you but they got beat by 3 td’s by Forestview. I know that goes along with you stating it is accepted to play and lose but cmon they don’t have that much.

Huss definitely has athletes. They actually have four kids with offers and their DL Falls is legit. He is arguably the best DL in Gaston County and a legit college prospect. Their WR Lockhart and their athlete Fortenberry would start for everyone around and Lockhart is the second best receiver in Gaston County after Smith from Ashbrook. They have pieces to work with and you can’t play around with them. The athlete that Forestview has at QB is really good and will probably be a college running back. Dye for Forestview is one of the fastest guys in the area. Don’t confuse their records with talent level.

Man, I get what you’re saying and I know several of those kids personally and I pull for them. My son has played on the same basketball team as a few of them in travel ball. Good kids and good athletes. I also appreciate you promoting some of the GC kids on here. I just get a little salty because a lot of the posters from almost every school in your conference bang on how bad some of the teams in our conference are and no arguments here they are right. All I am saying is a team like HH would finish 5th or 6th in our conference which is exactly where they are going to finish in that powerhouse conference you guys play in.

Disagree that HH is super talented. They have a few players like every HS team on earth...but they're not dripping with talent. The most they've had since McKoy took his recruiting show on the road to South Carolina was 1-2 years where they had 3 legit dudes and one was playing QB. Even then they weren't massively talented. When FV opened...it hit HH and Ash hard from where their talent USED to be pre 2002.

But saying they would finish in same conf. spot in 3a/4a as 5a/6a conf...that's crazy talk. I'm not saying HH is good in 5a/6a...but that's a different thing than 3a/4a. HH has DL that understands and can actaully take on a pull or trap block. They've never not had tough LBs.
Them and Linc. are very similar right now. No scheme with 2-4 athletes running around on offense. If you get some calls that offense can work. If you don't......you're doomed. Also they would blow Cherryville out of the water. They'd give all teams in that conf. trouble in some way.

But HH beat Bess. City about the same as Stuart Cramer did. I am not putting credence into that...just saying each game is it's on thing.
I don't know the details about HH/FV but I bet there were some pertinent details (players missing, lopsided flags, etc) froM HH's side.

Also IF HH had athletes galore they would've already been robbed and taken like so many other years.

That last paragraph is lunacy. Not off of my opinion but off of results on the field. Lincolnton who finished 4th in our conference would beat HH by 3-4 td’s even if you don’t like their coaching. However that is just my opinion so here are some facts. EG beat FV, that same FV team that beat HH by 3 td’s. From a guy who preaches prove it on the field and don’t get propped up by fake hype I find it disappointing you are basing that posts on opinions instead of factual data. Cmon on man do better.

Based off of results on the field in actual games, HH is a 5th-6th place team in our conference. Same place they will finish in yours. If you count the tiebreaker loss to FV they finish 6th.

Since you threw that score out there, I looked and HH has BC down 21-0 at halftime. SC had BC down 21-0 after 3 minutes and 47-0 at half. HH out scored BC 40-6 in the second half, so the game got really out of hand in the second half. Please don’t compare HH to SC this year. There isn’t a comparison. Just like I won’t compare SP to Cherryville this year. There isn’t a comparison there either. However there is a fair comparison to compare HH and Cherryville based off of results on the field. This fake hype Shutdown and you piggybacking off of him are trying to give HH, please stop because I know by reading your posts you don’t like fake hype. Prove it on the field and they haven’t done that. Probably will lose to Ashbrook by 30 this Friday.

First thing I thought was that they have no offensive scheme at all, just hope the qb can scramble a lil and then see if he can find someone open it seems. Seeing both, ill take Cherryville over Huss.

You must be new to the Gaston County school system. Unlike Cleveland County, Gaston seems far less interested in getting better than making sure nobody gets too far ahead. The philosophy appears to be simple: keep everyone equally mediocre, avoid ruffling any feathers, and heaven forbid anyone push for real improvement.

If Huss wants to improve, the community needs to push for change and make doing the right thing easier than maintaining the status quo.

I do stand by do it on the field.....but you have one example. EG beat FV. Congrats to them. FV has one win this year....against HH. So, was it a fluke? Probably. Again - I would bet there were scenarios involved in that loss for HH.

Me saying HH would finish higher than 5-6 in a 3a/4a conf. isn't hyping HH...it's just reality.
What are the historical records vs HH in that conf. That'll give you a pretty good idea about what they put on the field year after year.
Again - I DON'T think they're super talented. I think their HC does yeoman's work with the scenarios he has to navigate yearly.

At the base of all this is you think the 3rd/4th team in your existing conf. are as good as 5a/6a it sounds like. But, if you schedule 5a/6a teams that win more than 1-2 games per year between them, you can find out. Saying HH is crap but not ever playing them.....much less beat them is fantasy land. They probably will lose to Ashbrook by 30 this Friday but HH ain't Ashbrook.

You lost me on this one, too. You really think Huss beats Burns, Shelby, SC, and Lincolnton? If not, that puts them in 5th by my American math. And after looking at some common opponents, I wouldn’t bet anything of value that Cherryville or East Gaston couldn’t steal one, either.

Buddy you can’t go by history. HH was way better 2 years ago than they are now. I’m talking this year they would finish 5th or 6th in our conference and this year they would. Not really even a discussion. You constantly dog our conference and the 3A/4A in general. Hey I get it, it’s a narrative. However fact is your conference has some really really bad teams in it right now. You got 3 legit teams this year, and a fringe team in Ashbrook. The other 3 teams are not good at all.

First thing will be: Keep the recruiting schools out of HH. Everybody knows who they are and not all of them are in Cleveland County. With that saidHH biggest problem IS the conf. they play in despite all the redirections and fantasy matchups. When some teams used to have to play HH they lost. Come back to the conference and find out.

DeBoer, SP is a good team with great tradition. No need to prop up the teams you beat while calling all other teams crap constantly. We get it, quit beating that dead horse.

Using your own logic above, you/SP should not get any opinion on any team you have not played. The only team from our conference you can speak about, using this logic, is Lincolnton. Are they a crap team as well? I know it was just a scrimmage but most SP fans I know, have more respect for them after that event than before.

Coaching and culture changes have happened. You know this.

Keep up your "Meat Grinder" conference narrative. At the end of the day Huss wouldn't break into the top 4 of either without major changes, but please don't miss an opportunity to bang on Cramer. I would rank your obsession as follows:

* Cleveland County teams cheating
* Upset the State of NC had the audacity to put Cramer in a lower conference while they made SP play the "big boy schools".

Don't worry we all hear how much Belmont is whining to get help with realignment. It will be interesting if your outlook changes if SP is successful and gets moved to a "weaker" conference.

And you would be wrong.
