Huge get for pope, two pieces locked down before signing period
lolJust watched some his game film. He does it all, including handling the ball well for a big guy.
Edey, wembanyamaWho is the last 7'5 guy that could dominate a college basketball game? Not to be a wet blanket but those guys are too slow and too physically weak to make an impact. It just never works out with these dudes.
Pope is finding his way on the recruiting trail. These "kids" want to play for the name on the front of the jersey.
Wemby....Edey....Sampson...OK, 7'7", 7'4" and 7'4" but close enoughWho is the last 7'5 guy that could dominate a college basketball game? Not to be a wet blanket but those guys are too slow and too physically weak to make an impact. It just never works out with these dudes.
Can probably add Aday Mara from last year's National Champions to the list too. He measured 7'3" without shoes at the draft combine. So somewhere between 7'4" and 7'5" depending on his shoes on the court.Wemby....Edey....Sampson...OK, 7'7", 7'4" and 7'4" but close enough
For some reason I thought it said he could be our PG. I agree it would be a good pickupThis would be a great pickup
Reminder: Since 2015 there have been TWO top 15 rated incoming freshman play in the national championship game.Great prospect as a bench big if things go right for Pope this year.
Does not move the needle to keep Pope though imo like a unanimous top 10 guy would/could
That should bode well for Pope....Reminder: Since 2015 there have been TWO top 15 rated incoming freshman play in the national championship game.
Stephen Castle from UConn.
Jalen Suggs from runnerup Gonzaga.
Pope isn’t exactly working with years to develop players, here. He needs instant-impact players to prove why he should continue to be the Kentucky coach.Reminder: Since 2015 there have been TWO top 15 rated incoming freshman play in the national championship game.
Stephen Castle from UConn.
Jalen Suggs from runnerup Gonzaga.
Shocking stat for real. Makes what Cal did with that 2012 team even more special. Had 3 top 15 freshmen start.Reminder: Since 2015 there have been TWO top 15 rated incoming freshman play in the national championship game.

That’s a fact. And he’s pretty skilled for that size. Also if it helps even a tiny bit with Kamagate you take him. Can't teach height.
How old are you? Do you seriously find enjoyment is this? If you are above the age of 14 I seriously feel sorry for you. Please get a life, watch porn, get a hobby, do something because this is a sad existence.Pope is finding his way on the recruiting trail. These "kids" want to play for the name on the front of the jersey.
Remember though the nba lockout helped that team. Jones and lamb were leaving if not for the lockout. We don’t even come close to a title without those 2.Shocking stat for real. Makes what Cal did with that 2012 team even more special. Had 3 top 15 freshmen start.
2013-2014 was impressive too, even though we were cheated out of the titleShocking stat for real. Makes what Cal did with that 2012 team even more special. Had 3 top 15 freshmen start.
Good luck trying to find a young person who knows who Sampson isWemby....Edey....Sampson...OK, 7'7", 7'4" and 7'4" but close enough
This might as well be a Cal/Duke haven’t been past the elite 8/final 4 stat lolReminder: Since 2015 there have been TWO top 15 rated incoming freshman play in the national championship game.
Stephen Castle from UConn.
Jalen Suggs from runnerup Gonzaga.
He is extremely hard to project to college basketball next year. There just haven’t been many of the freakishly tall guys ranked high in the recruiting rankings. We better get him, lol. The assistant we just hired coached him with NBA Africa. But, I can’t imagine this kid will have an impact for years. At that height, the learning curve and conditioning is really steep.
Purdues monster POY. 2 years ago Edey.Who is the last 7'5 guy that could dominate a college basketball game? Not to be a wet blanket but those guys are too slow and too physically weak to make an impact. It just never works out with these dudes.
Pretty good pro, pretty dominant college playerGood luck trying to find a young person who knows who Sampson is
