Absolutely GARGANTUAN, HUMONGOUS win at Iowa.

RPI was 19 before the Iowa win. If they can upset NW on the Lake they may just thrust themselves back on the bubble down the stretch.
They’re already on the bubble, and frankly may have just punched their ticket with this win. We’ve won 5 in a row, are now 10-6, 4-2, and have an RPI at #17.

Rutgers and NW tied 1-1 at the half.
There’s a problem with the BTN+ feed, so I haven’t been able to watch, but according to the stats, NW has 4 shots (3 on goal) and 2 corners, and Rutgers only has 1 shot, which was the goal, and 0 corners. So it seems like NW is dominating possession.

NW scored with under 3 minutes left in the fourth quarter in a game that, according to the stats, was competitive in the 2nd half.
Heartbreaking, but I believe Rutgers’ RPI will go UP from 17 based on the road win at #6 Iowa and a close 2-1 road loss at NW (which will be ranked #1 in the next poll).

NW moved to #1 but we remain 17. That brutal loss to Monmouth (5-1), who is only #28 at 9-4, as well as the 1-0 loss to PSU (16) ....damn....those 2 hurt. Let's beat Indiana at home Friday and get 1 in the B1Gs!!!!
They haven’t updated the RPI since before this weekend’s games (Oct 22). NW was already #1 in RPI.
Just remember, the tourney isn't taking the top 18 teams based on RPI or rankings. There are auto-qualifiers, so essentially RU needs to be 12'ish or win the B1G. Bottom line, they really needed to beat NW.

Need to beat Indiana and at least win 1 BTT game to have a legitimate chance. The one game that hurt the most was the SO loss to UConn who is now #3 in RPI. Had we won that one team would probably be Top 10 or close to it.

Just refreshed my memory on the 2025 brackets. There are 10 automatic qualifiers but obviously some of these are the top teams. Looks like last year the at-large bids went to the remain 8 teams with the best RPIs, so that gives us a clear understanding of the process. Two more wins can do it, if the chips fall right.
