Looking at the teams that were already ahead of us that lost this week....
that moved them down five spots.

Beat Tennessee probably moved to 6 lose to Tennessee probably moved to 14.

So you would be still in good shape as long as you pick up the Florida win the next week..

Then it's another one of those where you have to win to keep your spot against Missouri where you'll probably be 10 or 11.

If you win against Missouri I think you're firmly in..

If you lose against Missouri you'll have to hope that Louisville's enough to get you in after you drop back down to 14 to 16.

I just don't feel confident in any of the three games against tennessee Florida or Missouri. Just hard to win man. We've had some close ones go our way. Just damn near impossible to keep squeaking out those wins. But not impossible so im hoping we beat them.

Maybe the fairy tale has a happy ending

In related news :

Notre Dame has an agreement that guarantees the Fighting Irish an automatic berth if they finish inside the top 12. They scheduled 2 RANKED TEAMS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON. They play in no major conference.

How did they manage to get that stipulation ? Pure BS. Rubbish. It's fixed from the get go in OUR FACE.

wrong wrong wrong. It's all scripted, running exactly as predicted. They could lose the only 2 games they play against ranked opponents, and still make the CFP - it's the LAW! Barring SMU staying ranked, 3 ranmked teams. Whatever. With only 2 losses, they are ensured a top 12 ranking on record alone, because ... that's how the polls work from the preseason forward, when your name is ... Notre Dame..
Whatever.

Meanwhile, in Utah.... You have a charmin soft shedule to begin with. Play nobody thru 8 weeks, go 7-0, you're 6th in the country. Only ranked teams left to play ? BYU and at Arizona. thats it.

Geezuz.

Just another example of BS. The ap/coaches poll = BS

this whole thing is BS. When it moves to the top 24 teams for the CFP, **** like this will still exist. Rigged, fixed, scripted, from corrupt officiating and the corrupt NCAA not having any oversight whatsoever of it, to the very bias built into every season from the beginning.

The ONLY way to even get remotely into the conversation is to overacheive so much (for the non elite named football schools ... you know all the "elite" programs that often get overrated from the get go every year, and stay at or near the top because of their name..... even when they lose ... and lose again ... they still get propped up by reputation alone.

It's great teams like IU and Kentucky are throwing major salt on the open festering wounds of a system already fatally flawed and just keeps getting worse.

Ignore the poisoned kool aid, dont drink it, focus on yourself, like IU and Kentucky's coaches have proven you can do ... and be succcessful. make the 40, 50 million dollar rosters of those "elite" schools drown in debt and waste money for what they get.

Loving what I am seeing from the "nobodies" and would love to see the elite teams get what they deserve as instant karmic retribution.

Back to your regularly scheduled rants ! ( end rant #12,467 )

- sincerely,
the runt

Don’t understand how byu is above us. We have a way tougher schedule, better wins, and they cheated ND out of one play and a chance to win the game.
I just think it's one of those things with these polls.

UK's resume stacks up with anyone in college football.

But I'm not sure people really believe in us quite yet.

Not that it matters tho. UK takes care of business and we are in the playoffs.

Stop being worried about 2 polls that mean absolutely nothing. The only poll that matters is the one coming out November 3rd. See where we are in that then start thinking about it.

It’s pretty simple (no need to make it complicated). 10-2 gets UK in the playoff. 9-3 does not.

I agree. Gonna be too many big brand teams at 9 and 3. We wont get the nod n that tie breaker IMO.

And they are gonna let 2 big 12 teams n so thats gonna cost the sec a bid we deserve. Hope im wrong and hope all these big 12 teams end up with 3 losses but 1 of them.

You can lose two games max but those two games cannot be Tennessee and Missouri.
In order to make it you have to beat one of those two and ONE other game.... PERIOD.
This is based on our current ranking of #9.

You must go three and one or
in 3 cases:
go 2 and 2.

It's the only way they're letting Kentucky in.

W L W W. Home playoff game
L W W W home playoff game
W W W L on the road for the playoffs
W W L W home playoff game

But not 2 loss.. unless its:
L W W L on the road for the playoffs
W L W L on the road for the playoffs

The fingernail biter PRAYER:
W W L L on the road for the playoffs the worst seed

Situation: the two wins are worth too much to keep Kentucky out unless its the last configuration of win-win loss loss which then it's up in the air.

Most likely scenario but Will NOT make the playoff with this outcome:

L W L W medium bowl game

Or

L L W W top bowl game

Seven ways get you in.
Two ways hold you out.

I'll take it.

Best way to make it my opinion:

Beat orange lovers and beat loserville and make them watch you play in the playoffs.
