Rutgers dominated a bad Indiana team this afternoon, 4-0. Reilly McGlinn had a brace, and Lilia Calvert and Tommi Rose Valente had the other goals for Rutgers.

Unfortunately, however, Rutgers was mathematically eliminated from contention for the Big Ten Tournament, as the Scarlet Knights have 13 points and sit in 9th place with just one game remaining, and the 8th place team has 17 points.

If Rutgers beats Maryland in the final regular season game next Friday, there will be an
incremental improvement in the year-over-year record from last year:

2025: 4-7-5 (2-7-2)

2026 (with a win next Friday): 6-7-4 (5-6-1)

Will that — combined with a talented young core of returning players — be enough to retain Mike O’Neill? My guess is yes, but I know many here want MON GONE.
