Question for the Lincolnton people while the roads so nice and smooth out in the western part of the county and kind of crappy in town 😂

The roads on the west side of the county aren’t used nearly as much as in town. I’m about five blocks away from thedowntown area, the street and sidewalk here are in good shape, even though there is a lot of high school traffic on it, and it’s also one of the routes to our stadium.
Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but the streets in town look to be in pretty good shape. If a citizen calls city government they will respond. We have a really good city manager.

Hickory at Bandys: Tornadoes by 20.

North Lincoln at Foard: Knights by 14

West Iredell at Bunker Hill: The Bears are not a bad team, but in the end the Warriors prevail by 18.

Newton-Conover at Maiden: This must be Flyrod’s game of the week (unless he overrules me). Blue Devils by 7

PostScript: Friends, I’d just like to comment on Newton-Conover at Maiden: the game itself is not the only rivalry in this storied matchup. For sometime AMD has been at odds with the security guard that he complains about for wanding him when he goes there.

Fortunately, there isn’t going to be a problem this season since the game is in Maiden. I’ve heard through the grapevine that the guard has a new and improved wand for next time.

Well, I turned the Panthers game off. It’s about depressing, so good of time is any to make my picks

Hickory- Bandys has fight it WI took a night off. May be interesting at first but Hickory will be Hickory.

Maiden- theyll be at their best but it’ll be a fight for a bit. A rivalry that goes all the way back to when Al Capone first got popular

North Lincoln- conference toilet bowl, if North makes 2 or 3 mistakes it will go Foards way, mistake limited, they got this but barley. North’s good days won’t be next year, maybe year after and year after that. That’s if country is ok to come out and watch football, don’t get me started lol. Yeah be like “comrade Lincolnton im at the game”

West Iredell- not much distance between the 2 schools, may be high scoring for a bit but it’ll be too much Spence. WI by 14 if Gaither ain’t contained well. That was a fun back to watch.

Lincolnton- punter stays home
SC- punter stays home
Hibriten- I don’t know anything bout Cummings except it’s out there close to were BIG Tent Revival took place with CT Townsand preaching. Anyone reading this go out there in 2016 or at least heard about it? Hibriten in a close one.

Im sure it will. Our coach just didnt want to have 2 byes before playoffs. I was hoping Cumming would have about 3 wins but they play in a tough conference. Those 5a Alamance schools beat up on them.

The way RPI is measured a win over a bad team is better than a loss to a good team.

I remembered the Burlington Revival. It went on for long time. Never went, but heard about it.

It was something to see and hear lemmie tell ya. Over a 1000 saved. Glory to God. I was at the alter a couple times there struggling with salvation. CT Townsend can really preach.

A game I shoulda made mention of last week, not to count toward anything just public opionon and that was Alexander Central and Freedom. Shoulda got a thought from yall who ya'll thought may win. It was Alexander Central by a TD. This RB Parks of AC seems be one of the talks of the town next to Spence of WI. Only one reading this id imagine thats seen him play is Cheerduck. Kicks 103 talked about him a bit I was listening to it coming back from NL game and could pick up the station after coming out of Maiden area, but toward Lincolnton it turns into a Rap/R & B station. Parks seems to be the real deal. Big body RB. Got another year in him coming up

I looked it up about the revival. It went on from May 8 - July 29. About 12 weeks. I follow CT Townsend on FB. Never will forget that.

I've spoken on Jaquis Parks on here but most were on Amario Spence which he reminds me a lot of Amario Spence, we faced him in the second game of the season and was able to lock him down, Hickory linemen tied up the Alexander Central line, creating space for the linebackers and secondary to penetrate, keeping the pressure on the ball handlers and rotating to the outside to prevent players from turning the corner. I think we held him to about 23 yards on 13 carries, he fumbled twice @CHEERDUCK probably can correct me because it was early in the season, but he actually looks a bit bigger than Spence, he has really been doing great things all season long, but the difference is he is a Junior and is a load, and he has just gained more confident throughout the season.

All the Maiden program has full confidence in coach Hawn to lead this team. He's an experienced and capable coach, who has garnered admiration and love from many former players that he has coached. The town and city will be behind him and the players through out this season and any future positions that he holds. Don't cry for maiden or feel sorry. We are a program that is bigger than any one individual. We are a culture that continues beyond former, current and future blue devils.

Not to take away from the Maiden drama and I hate that about the coaching situation but its Maiden and they always bounce back. But for this off subject subject lol, Parks yeah hes pretty big. I can't remember the RB for Bandys from 6 or 7 years ago namewise but he was just alittle taller with the size and kept them in the games. I pretty much saw that guy as little Shatley and Parks is pretty much that type of RB but just alittle bit shorter and stockier. I was like no wonder a RB transfered to East Burke from AC ha ha. I wouldn't get no playing time being on a depth chart playing with that guy either.

It seemed to be an interesting close game, one I shoulda went to but I wanted to see how North stood against a slightly tougher team. They made it close too. They talked bout the conf standings on Kicks 103 those fellas always bring good football talk bout the area, it being a tight fit race with Watauga, AC, and Freedom. Both teams hoping hard for a St Stephens win at Watauga this friday to tie 1st or something like that I forgot what they said but it was interesting set up. Watauga will run the tables next year they just going through a rebuild tuneup. But man o' man I wish they'd play Hickory again lol

YES.... he was, ha. Dang right he was. Thanks for the name update. He went on to play at LR and I had not kept up with em or how he did there. I was at the game when Bandys played Hibriten in the playoffs. Bandys did not win from what I recall but Howard was their champ and he kept the game really interesting. Of course one guy can't do it all, Hibriten stacked the box and he still got yards even after 2 guys on em.

I believe he's an assistant at North Lincoln or was. Or some bandy's RB 😂 and could be in the running for bandy's when they fire barnes
