If Moulton is done for the season with that 1st half injury, better plan on 7-5 at best.

The run game is gonna be up against 9-man boxes from here on out now that opposing coaches know that if making Iowa beat you through the air is the Hawks best chance to win, then they've already won the war.

The fact that Iowa scored its TD when Brown was QB shouldn't win him the job.

Everything after the short dump pass was all Diaz, that set up the TD.

Despite everything, this game boiled down to two things.

The free run in for the Minnesota guy who blocked the punt by just lackadaisically throwing his arm out as he ran past the punter and Watson's head falling out of his azz to line up waaay offsides to give Minnesota a 5th chance to score their lone TD.

Those things aren't allowed to happen and it changes a 13-10 loss into a 10-0 win..

The IL game could be a coin flip game, but if they lose to IL then they’ll likely beat Nebraska. I dont believe they’ll lose to them both.

I kinda want to organize a fan boycott until we get a few things changed *not specifically Iowa related:

1: We fans can tell that when the conference, and/or tv networks, and/or Vegas want a certain team to win, the refs try to help that certain team win. Stop it.

2: WAY too many commercials.

3: I don't want to see football players in shorts anymore.

Disappointing to say the least. Worst Iowa game in quite some time. 4 TO and missing a couple wide open receivers not a recipe for winning. Not the best called game, but I can't put this on the coaches. Players lost this one!

Well, at this point I would be happy with 8-4. I honestly don’t know what to expect the rest of the way. Other than the Washington game, Iowa has not played well against P4 teams this year. And they lost to an average Minnesota team today.

Worst coaching job by Kirk since Western Michigan on Senior Day. Absolutely pathetic effort today by the offense. Totally unprepared.

How will the players react, now that the playoffs are gone? They have 2 difficult games in a row coming up, and things could spiral out of control. Hopefully things can get back on track next week.

western Michigan is the game I finally accepted the fact that Ferentz would never take Iowa anywhere but to mediocre

Brown's 2 picks were the result of a collapse by the oline, and a pitch from RVZ who had the ball land squarely in his hands. He didn't lose a fumble. He also wasn't good and missed an easy pass late that could have possibly gone for a score.

Heck threw an INT at the end zone and missed a wide open receiver downfield that also would have scored. He then threw into triple coverage at the end zone a second time which could have easily been picked off. He was facking bad.

The fact of the matter is that Iowa doesn't have a QB1 which is where we started this year.

Yes. Did you see how far Brown missed wide open Vonhamme by? On a play that probably would have won us the game.

Plus other bad plays by Hank.

Heck should have been back in.

Heck can get better, I don't see it with Hank.

BOunce back to what? Bowls mean nothing anymore. Our season is ruined because we had the playoffs in sight. And our coach decided to bench a QB in favor of a Spencer Petra’s clone.

This isn’t on Lester. There is no way he would yank heck. Kirk wanted his Boy Scout out there.

Petras would have been light-years better than either of these QBs with TL as coordinator. Neither of these guys would be starting at any other P4 school

Heck had a couple bad throws but still seemed to have more upside. Brown missed DJV like he missed the screen pass against Indiana last year. How he made the pass to RVZ against Michigan is a head scratcher…

Unfortunately, losses like today just take the wind out of your sails. I’ll always be a Hawk fan, and support the team, but these hurt much more than losing to one of the better Big 10 teams.
